SNAIL <3

Got this app purely for the silly little snail that goes around the pot
I love snails so much <3 yippeeeee

Needs work on interaction

This could really be a relaxing game if more care were taken when crafting the viewing controls. A couple notes on how these could be better:

1. Zooming is too fast. This is a mindfulness and relaxation experience, yet I can’t freely zoom and pan and investigate at my leisure at the pace I want. The “pinch” gesture is just far too sensitive, I have to move my fingers slowly by millimeter to get the slow speed I want, and it’s too difficult.

2. Zooming/panning should take place separately from selection. This means that you should detect a difference between a “tap” and a “slide” gesture, and they should do different things. For instance, while the user is panning around, the selection will change if the user’s finger moves over a plant. This is a very amateur design mistake: don’t make the user do things by accident; everything should be intentional.

3. These issues really make this app feel more like a “beginner student project” than a professional app that I would make purchases in. There are no shortcuts here. Try some other apps that include 3D viewing to see what their interaction paradigms are like, and how they feel different. Pay attention to what feels good and what doesn’t. The time investment in this investigation will pay off in the long run, as users will gravitate to an experience that is crafted well and feels good to use.

Stressful game. Waste of money.

Paid for the key to the apartment, the cat house and some seedlings. Apartment does literally nothing. Not to mention, every way I turn the apartment view, my pot is just floating in the middle of the screen which is annoying. Can’t even access the cat house at all so that was money wasted. Can’t plant the seedlings I bought. No instructions in the app or assistance. Complete waste of money and now I’m really angry. Do not recommend.

Very pretty

I really like this game. It doesn’t take up all my time and is very rewarding to see your plants grow. This is very nice for me because I live in a place with little sunlight so it is very hard for me to grow real plants. Two improvements I would make is to have free access to more/larger pots. My pot it full from the weekly seeds and I am getting upset every week when I need to throw a plant out. I would also like to see a better seed placement interface. The seeds have only very few spots they can go in the pot and it makes it very difficult to move them around and arrange the pot. As soon as these two issues are addressed you WILL have my 5 stars!

for when I can’t play with my rl plant children

I’m not really an fps or mmorpg kind of player; i like Tetris and d&d quests, I’m not an fast action gamer. I also own close to fifty succulents, so this game is definitely my cuppa. Slow moving, plants growing in near real time, soft soothing music, muted colours, low key in every way, i love this game so much. I could sit and watch one of my planters spin slowly for an hour or more; it’s soporific, but that’s what I was looking for!

I like the in-app purchases rather than an initial payout. It feels like going to the nursery and picking up a new plant and/or pot. I like the snail on the rims of the pots. It tickles me that you can sing to it along with the plants! I have three pots going rn in all three settings, and it’s fun and very soothing for me to pull out my phone when I’m on the bus, put in my ear buds, and pull up this app. Five stars, absolutely

So gorgeous!

I absolutely love this game, such a lovely little break from the stress of life! Checking up onto little virtual succulents also reminds me to water my real plants haha! The graphics and music of the game are simply perfect!
A few of my succulents have started flowering and growing new shoots in these past few days, which is an unexpected but delightful surprise!!

The screenshots of the game displayed here show a feature enabling you to sing to the snail, I’m not sure how to do that, I can’t seem to find a button. I would love to sing to my little snail dude!

The ability to swap the plants places.

I love this game, it’s amazing. However, I’m trying to swap the places between two plants but there isn’t room to place one to get the other where I want it. If that made sense. Like I go to move one plant over but I can’t just swap them so I’ve gotta find a place to set the plant to move the other out of the way but there isn’t enough space to do so. A swap button would fix that issue, or to even take it out of the pot without completely getting rid of it.

Love it

Honestly I didn’t expect to love this game as much as I do. I just check it every few days to see how much they’ve grown and water them, plant my new seedling every week, it’s so fun to see how much they’ve grown since I got it. I love it so much. I’d love to see more options in the future as someone else suggested, options for ads for seedlings and other pots or something. Even without, 5 stars. 💕

Best succulent game ever!

I have a love for cacti and succulents, but not enough space to grow them. This app is perfect for my suculenty needs. when you put a succulent out of the pot though, it says you “throw” the succulent into the garden so I just imagine a pile of dying succulents, their roots exposed to the hot blistering sun, slowly fading away, so could you change it to say you plant the succulents in the garden. That would help me sleep better at night
