Looked great but then...
I got to the fourth screen and no hint or idea on what I could or should be doing. Descriptors for the inventory items would be a great help! I was randomly trying things out with no success. I normally love the Shiver games, so am a little disappointed. Won't stop me trying the next ones though!!m@dfrankie
Good at the beginning.....
I bought this one a month ago..... The color goes crazy, it makes me so uncomfortable, the story is a little bit boring. I always feel Eipix wants to put so many thing in a game and that make me feel lost, and boredSabrina Tan
Very disappointed
It is rare that I purchase these Big Fish games anymore and certainly not for the $6.99 cost. This game is just all over the place and boring as heck for that price. Don't make the same mistake that I did.Grinch Gal
Two disappointments in a row
After playing the mediocre Whispered Secrets: Beyond, I was really looking forward to a new game by EIPIX so I could get back in the groove. :D
As with Beyond, however, I find it hard to believe that this game truly is new. There is a significant step back in terms of the configurability of difficulty; the availability and quality of the map and journal, if any; the complexity of the HOPs; and the overall quality of the game. The graphics and cut scenes seem dated as well. I certainly did not see any aspect that struck me as innovative or novel.
This was also one of the shortest trial periods that I can ever remember before I was asked to buy a game. I was only able to visit four scenes and complete three or four short puzzles. This was hardly enough to convince me to pay the $6.99 requested in order to continue.
I cannot recommend purchasing this game based on my experience. I am rating it three stars because it does not appear to be glitchy, just antiquated.Show lessjennifer626
Starts off Great
This game starts off great. Nice graphics, bright scenes, fun hidden objects. I play in Advanced so didn't try the map. I purchased for 4.99 which seemed reasonable for the quality. As the game wore on, the use of objects became less and less logical until I was just trying anything in inventory to see if it worked. Boy was I surprised at some of the really stupid combinations. Entertaining
I have enjoyed all four games in the series. The graphics are clear, HO's are visible, and the puzzles are not difficult (a negative for folks who really enjoy a challenge!). Scenes load quickly and I experienced no glitches. The only collectible is a water globe in each scene and they are not particularly hidden. The map, however, must be accessed from the menu which is a minor inconvenience. The length, for me, was just right. I get really restless when a game goes on forever and ever.Show less1988Daria
