Search no longer works…

Really need the search function working again. Incredibly frustrating to not be able to quickly search for things especially when I may be checking for events from awhile back to confirm something.. impossible without search working. Tried the recommended steps to fix, lost stuff on my calendar. Not happy.
Please fix. Issue only started with an IOS update.

Works Great but missing features

Overall, a very nice application. However, like what Apple always does, they start off with a good application but never add features to make it a great application. For instance, a week view on the calendar is needed. Integrating a default Reminders category tp he displayed on the calendar is also needed. It is because of features like these little things that have us go looking for 3rd party apps which never integrate into the OS as well. This is detrimental not only to the app, but to the OS as a whole.

Update is horrible

Please please please change it back. This new version is horrible. It’s designed by a child or perhaps AI? In whatever case, it’s by someone who doesn’t actually used calendars... I hate just about everything about it but at the top:

- Dates with dots is the most useless idea I have yet seen… most people have things to do every day, meaning every day has a dot- and that is the only information we get on the landing page. Why? A big white expanse of gray dots. Why did that seem like a good idea?
Better (at the most basic) is a month overview. The week views are alright- but I don’t love having to landscape my phone. It’s annoying and unnecessary.

- the list view is horrible. Just appointments all together blending into one another. Can hardly tel when one day ends and the next begins. This should not be the default position- sure a couple people might prefer it to grids but I doubt if it’s most. Especially busy people, or those juggling a few things.

What was once (and for years) my favourite design, has now become garbage. Please just back step it. A sad end to an era.

What’s going on with the search function?!?!

This use to be very reliable but for the past year, the search function rarely works even after the updates. Not reliable at all. Makes it really difficult when I need to pull up scheduled appointments / event info. I can’t find it unless go through each month / week / day to find it. Please fix this or we’ll have to use other apps which I don’t want to do because our family has been sharing and using this for many years.

Was great

Loved this app but now not so much. I use this calendar for work, I used to be able to add files and pictures to the jobs time slots that I did but I’m not able to do that anymore. Very disappointed

Sync with Google calendar

I was saying my calendar with Apple calendar but when I add some event on my Google calendar every day that not Update in Apple calendar until I open Apple calendar after that event update

Autofill suggestions overwrite the time of your new event

This is a bug and not a feature - and there seems to be no option to turn it off.

I enter new appointments in the calendar in the following order:
1. Select date
2. Select time
3. Give appointment a title

Typing in the title field brings up a list of autofill suggestions from previous calendar events.
For example, this might be a previous doctors appointment.

If I select the ‘doctors appointment’ suggestion, it doesn’t just autocomplete the title and location - it changes the time I’ve entered for the new appointment to the time of the *old* appointment.

To reiterate - the calendar automatically changes the time I’ve already selected to the WRONG time.

This is actively unhelpful.

It’s also particularly frustrating that the calendar (famously used to keep you organised and on time) will literally *disorganise you* by changing an event to the wrong time.

If users want to completely duplicate a previous event, this needs to be a clear and separate option.

The UI is terrible

The app works very well but unfortunately the UI is really bad. There are so many better calendar apps that make it easier to see an overview of all of your planned events and be able to switch quickly and seamlessly between the detailed view and an overview. Please update the UI.

Gripes

1) An appointment should always be displayed using the local time. I travel a lot on business, often for a day or two after I get to a destination, appt times are displayed in the former time zone on the daily summary. If you drill into the appt, it possibly then shows the appt time in multiple time zones. But other times, the appointment shows up at the time from your former time zone for days. The only way to get the app to adjust all appointments to your correct time zone is to completely close the app and restart it. This should auto recalculate every time you turn off airplane mode, or the phone detects a time zone change. I have missed several meetings because the summary doesn’t update based on local time zones. 2) I wish I could delete duplicate holidays, or holidays I don’t recognize. 3) If someone sends me reoccurring meeting invite and I decline it. It shows up in my calendar forever. Unless the sender deletes it. I have tons of declined meetings in my calendar each week from associates who no longer work for my company that I can’t permanently delete. So my calendar is super cluttered. Apple, this is a total fail. Please fix this app that has so many flaws.

Essential but two features needed

- ability to “undo”. Ever fearful of accidentally deleting an event and having loosing that information (I know there’s some way of “reverting” from an iCloud backup, but this is way too convoluted)
- proper handling of unit/apartment numbers in addresses. In Australia anyway, the typical way of assigning an apartment number to an address is with the number followed by a forward slash. e.g. 2/100 Something Rd, Somewhere for Unit 2, 100 Something Rd, Somewhere. But annoyingly, the address field in Calendar drops of the number after the slash (the street number) half the time, so that, continuing with the above example, you end up with 2 Something Rd, Somewhere.
