  • Excellent app

I didn’t want to like this app because I never pay over a couple of bucks for apps. The thing is, it’s actually worth it! My 5 year old daughter and I had fun cataloguing my fabric stash. We are about 1/4 way through the main collection and the little summary page tells me we are at over 80yards. I have a lovely collection of pictures on my screen which is motivating.
I used the location function to determine not just location of unused fabric but also to set the location as “finished” - I’d love a way to set that as an actual function rather than my work around to keep motivating me to turn fabric into things!
I’m not sure how big the photo files are and whether memory on my iPhone will be an issue.
I think it could be great to add a notions/trim section for a full inventory. I use “other” as a label for Linings. That’s what I like about this app- you could do more- but you don’t NEED to. It is so quick to log each fabric. If a fabric is not worth the minute to list, it is probably not worth having in my “keep” pile- which has been a good discipline.
I’m enjoying seeing what I own (and had forgotten about) and my daughter enjoyed finding fabric that she liked enough for us to turn it into a dress. Quickest sewing project ever!
Thanks for helping organize my sewing room!

  • Great Idea!

I read about this app on a Facebook quilting board. I have an extensive stash of fabric so I won’t enter every single piece. But I will enter my favorites and where they are. I just hope that this app doesn’t go the way of other apps I’ve purchased. And either stop being updated for new OS or start charging me a monthly or annual fee to use it! That would be extremely disappointing.

  • Great app for fabric

Great app to keep track of your fabric inventory. Easy to use.
  • Brilliant

So far have 412 pieces entered. Easy to do. You can get in the flow quite quickly once you make decisions about your own system of understanding colour, weight etc. Would love to be able to share the catelogue with images, with friends when looking for specific fabrics that might suit a project. I have no idea what that would entail! In the meantime I am happily sorting into numbered boxes, wrapping silks in acid free tissue, finding forgotten gems and finally organising my sewing studio. Thanks Cora for an excellent pathway to this.

    Once again love this apt
  • Great App Finished Project Photo would be nice

I’m loving this app. The only thing I wish it had was somewhere to add a photo of the finished product.
  • Great help to quilters

I am impressed with this app and how useful it is to keep track of my fabric purchases. It’s easy to use and I love the idea that I am able to take a photo of each of my fabrics in my stash. One can also enter information such as fabric type, color, amount of yardage, name, designer, and price.
The only thing that is preventing me from giving 5 stars is that I am unable to sync the app to my iPad. I am older and having a hard time typing things in on my iPhone. If I could use the bigger device to enter my information and still have it available to reference on my iPhone, when shopping, would be perfect. Thanks to the developer for responding quickly to inquiries and questions very quickly. It’s a very handy app if you need help keeping track of your stash.

  • Cora Won’t synch to iPhone

I purchased upgrade but account is not recognized on iPhone ap. Very disappointing.
  • The Best App for my stash

I have been using Cora for a year, and have told many others about it. It has been a breeze to get my large stash uploaded into it AND to maintain it as I move fabrics, use fabrics, and buy new fabrics. It is just easy to snap a pic & put in a few words, click the right boxes, done. The ease of maintaining is paramount, as something too difficult to update would be soon useless as a reference (maintenance is often my issue with organizing *anything*).
For me, spending $1 for an app seems “too expensive” so I initially balked at Cora’s price—but I have not looked back. Well worth it.
As others have said, multi-sort and the ability to input a few of my own color categories (eg neutral or primary) would be nice updates. And also, my display stopped looking so lovely at some point (maybe with one of the iOS updates?), so now I have to “edit” a fabric in order to see all the comments I wrote. But these are not enough to drop my review from 5 stars to 4: I just love this app!

  • Doesn’t export to new phone.

I had this app on my old phone and liked it a lot. I had to replace that phone and there doesn’t seem to be a way to move my fabrics to the new phone. This is really disappointing since I paid $10 for the app and spent a lot of time putting in fabrics. Contacted the developer and haven’t heard back.

    Developer Response

Apologies for the email delay — I just had a baby! Devices running iOS 10 and greater prompt the user to do a full device restore from a previous one. That process restores all Cora fabrics. A manual restore from iCloud or iTunes backup also restores Cora’s state.
