  • A very nice app

I like that it coordinates with the camera on my iPad so it is simple to photograph fabric. Now just need more get up and go to inventory everything.
  • Well-designed app - a few tweaks would make it even better

I really like how this app is laid out. There are two ways to view your fabric, both of which are aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. The fabric organization categories suit my needs. The best part of this app is being able to filter fabric by type, length, weight, and whether it has been prewashed. It is also nice to be able to see a summary - by number of pieces, yardage and type -of just how giant your stash is (mine was larger than anticipated!).

That said, there are a few improvements that would make this app even better:

-Allowing fractions when entering yardage. Yes, I am able to enter 1 1/3 yds as 1.33, but since fabric requirements (at least in the US) are always listed in fractions, not decimals, this would be a nice option.
-Adding "width" as a filter option.
-Allowing multiple filters. Right now, if I need at least 3 yards of a knit fabric, I have to filter on "knits" and scroll through all of the yardage, or filter on "length" and scroll through both knits and wovens. Multiple filters would allow me to zero in on a fabric more quickly and would be of great help to people with giant stashes.

Overall, this is a very useful organizing tool for managing your fabric stash.

Thanks so much for the great suggestions, I really appreciate them and agree those would all be great to have! I have added them to my running feature wishlist.
  • Love it!

I have just started back sewing and this is a breeze to use and for the fabric junkies fun too! I can see everything at a glance, know how much I have etc. Nice for matching things up when you are shopping and can't remember. Like others if you could do this with patterns it would be a game changer like this one is. Oh and if they could link together like link the pattern to the material I was going to use for even better! Thanks for a wonderfully useful and fun app! Update* it would be great to see the fabric width as a filter option.

Welcome back to sewing! I'm so glad you're finding Cora helpful. I would really love to add pattern management at some point down the line. I've made a note of your request for a width filter as well, thanks for the ideas!
  • Great organizational tool

I tried using another online tool to organize my apparel fabric, but it was too cumbersome. After entering a few fabrics, the app remembers what you've entered and it really speeds up the process. If it could have an option for cataloging patterns too, that would be awesome!

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review! I haven't had the time to tackle pattern cataloging yet but it's something I'd really love to do.
  • Love this app!

I love this app. My stash is quite frankly out of control. Nothing will reduce my shopping like having instant access to the evidence of my fabric addiction! That is why I bought it.

Is it perfect? No, but it is close. One of the changes I would like to see is the ability to add your own colours. For instance turquoise, khaki, fuchsia etc.

Thanks for your comments! I'm so happy Cora has been helpful to you. Regarding colors, there are two different color fields -- a custom one in which you can put a list of autocompleting custom colors and "sort color." The reason for "sort color" is that it's really hard for computers to sort by color but I wanted to be able to group fabrics with like colors. It's the best I could come up with but I must admit I don't love it. If you have a better idea, please email me at hello@meetcora.com!
  • Awesome resource for sewists

I like this app, concept is just exactly what I've been looking for. I have been using other form/database apps to keep track of my stash, this one is specific to fabric cataloging which is wonderful BUT I am hesitant to pay the 9.99 for the full app because I can't customize/edit the photo's orientation, zoom or what part of the photo is seen in the tile. The visual display of the fabric stash is a very important part of the catalog I may even say the most important part as that is how I choose and plan with my fabrics, visually.

  • Very handy!

My fabric stash is a variety of knits, wovens, and home dec.
It's helpful to know just what I have and look at it while I am at the store planning a project. Works great!
  • Syncing required

I love this app as I can see what I've got and update when I'm out however, I'd love to be able to see my stash across all devices. iPhone is ok when out but I'd much prefer to be able to use my iPad when in my sewing room. I do think it's a fab app though, managed to finally get organised over this weekend and no more scrabbling around various boxes, I know where everything is and how much I've got. Crucially, also how much I've spent (eek!).

  • Love it!

I have recently finished cataloging my stash in Cora. Cora is a very user-friendly and well-thought out app. I really like the color sort feature. Cora also gives you a total yardage of your stash broken down by woven and knit fabric categories I have to admit that I was a little shocked by the number, but thanks to Cora, I will be "shopping" my stash to complete many projects this year. Cora is a very handy tool that I will continue to use, and is worth the cost in my opinion.

  • Not working

Sadly after the last update this app doesn't work. As soon as I click on the + button to add a fabric the app shuts down. No use at all at the moment. I'm sure if it worked it would be great😥

Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry Cora has stopped working for you! I unfortunately am not seeing any evidence of this crash in my logs so it would be very helpful if you could get in touch with me at hello@meetcora.com so that I could find the root cause of the problem and address it. One other user had what seemed like a similar problem and she told me she had not opened the app for a very long time which makes it sound like I have a bug in upgrades that skip versions. She only had a couple of fabrics and deleted the app and reinstalled it to get things working again. If you have many fabrics logged, I'd be happy to work with you to get this fixed in a more permanent way.
