  • Very useful

Generally very good. The sound doesn't always play on all devices. It's patchy and not limited to the same device every time.
  • Update suggestions

This is a very good tool.
A few suggestions though for next update:
    - refresh of the feed / comments does not appear even after notification has been received. I normally have to log-out/exit app to get refreshed contents. Maybe developers can look at this in next release (hopefully soon!)

Hi there, thanks for your feedback, the feed is in chronological order but can include 'starred' posts which get pushed to the top of your feed as they are deemed important by the educators, simply pull down to refresh the feed anytime.
  • The best for childcare

This app is amazing and has awesome features for childcare providers and parents! A must have!
  • Save to Camera Roll functionality gone!!

The addition of the ‘Save Photo to Camera Roll’ a few versions back was very welcomed...I’m dismayed to find that this has been removed from the current version of the app - why?!!
The alternative is having to logon through the web UI and saving photos manually.
Why is existing functionality being removed from newer releases of the app...it doesn’t make any sense.

Hi there, this is now controlled at the centre level as an option they can switch on at their discretion and in line with their privacy policy.
  • Excellent!

This app is great, easy to use and gives me a great snapshot into the kids lives at kinder. We also love sharing our activities at home with the educators to show how we are building on the kids learning. You don’t need a download feature, personally I feel that’s a breach of privacy for families. There’s always screen capture if you’re desperate. This is just so you can get an insight into the kids lives at school.

  • Daily activity viewing on app

    Hello Good People,
This is a great app but parents are not able to view daily activity on the app. They instead have to view via the web which has a low uptake.
Do you have an ETA for when this will be available via the app.
  • Reopening page

I find if I get a new update and the apps already open it won’t download unless I close the app and reopen it. Sometimes updates take a few hours to drop in.
  • Needs improvement

    1. since screenshot is allowed, it doesn’t make sense to not have an option to download the photos

    2. teachers should have the option to exclude sending to parents whose child are not in that day. some kids are enrolled 2 days only but parents are getting the pics for the whole week. only announcements should be allowed everyday.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback ) We are looking to put in the ability to download photos at the discretion of the childcare provider, it is effectively their content being displayed through our app and we have always been mindful of the issue surrounding group photos where you will be downloading photos of children who are not your own. To date we simply haven't made this process easy despite the fact we can't stop screenshots being taken. In regards to posts being sent to children on days they do not attend, that is really up to the educators posting in their Kinderloop, and we feel its about inclusion as opposed to exclusion, allowing you to see what is happening in the daycare on the days your child does not attend allowing you to keep updated.
  • Needs more functionality

This is a great app for seeing pics of your kids but it’s frustrating that I have to log in via a web browsers to see daily activity and accident reports.. this functionality should also be in the app

Hi there, we are looking to bring this functionality into the app in a future release )
  • Desperately needs download option

It’s good for day to day use but the lack of ability to download photos and documents means you are unable to save them once your children leave the service using the app. You need to keep the app forever if you want to be able to access them which is a pain when you’re short on space! If I want to delete the app when my kids are at school I have to screen shot everything I want to keep.

It also often take hours (sometimes a whole day) for posts by educators to appear in a parent’s feed. This means you can’t see what your kids are doing during the day, I’ve picked them up long before the posts load.

Hi Naomi, Thank you for your review of our app in the AppStore, despite being critical of what we offer we do appreciate hearing from you. We are looking to put in the ability to download photos at the discretion of the childcare provider, it is effectively their content being displayed through our app and we have always been mindful of the issue surrounding group photos where you will be downloading photos of children who are not your own. To date we simply haven't made this process easy despite the fact we can't stop screenshots being taken. Regarding the delay between posts appearing in the feed and when they were created, we offer educators the ability to create a post without sharing it with family, this gives them time to piece together various aspects of what they are trying to capture/document. When they are ready they can then share this with family. Posts are instantaneous, our mistake with family feeds is showing the date the post was created and not when it was shared with you. This will be amended over the course of updates due over the next few months.
