Description of Snug Safety

**Now over 10,000,000 Check-ins and featured by AARP and Forbes** If you live alone and want the reassurance of someone checking in, Snug is for you. It's a free daily check-in service for people living alone. Every morning, Snug checks in on you at your selected time. When you check in by pressing the big green check mark, you will receive a quote of the day. Your emergency contacts can optionally be notified, at your and their discretion, that you have successfully checked in. If you don't check in by your selected daily time, a Snug dispatcher will call to check on you. If you still don't respond, your emergency contacts will be alerted and then emergency services will be called for a wellness check. If you have a fall or an emergency, you can use Snug to call your personal dispatcher (on dispatch plan). Snug is a way for anyone living alone to feel peace of mind. Think of it like a modern Medical Alert or Life Alert that is designed to be friendly, positive, and proactive. Snug is popular with people who have medical concerns including diabetics, heart disease, stroke history, or epilepsy. A lot of people use it in combination with medication or pill reminders. It's also popular with seniors living independently and pet owners. PLANS Snug has a free plan where emergency contacts are alerted if someone doesn't check in at their regular time. There is also a dispatch plan, either $9.99/month or $99/year, where a personal dispatcher will call if someone misses their check in. If necessary, the dispatcher will coordinate a wellness check to the last known location. You can call your dispatcher for help any time of the day if you have an emergency. Snug Safety Check-in Daily

I have been using Snug since my new senior housing facility did not have much of an emergency 🆘, and inquired on Google for something to fit the bill so to speak. I found this app on the Apple App Store and felt it would handle what I was concerned about. ‘Let me tell you, it does’. I one time forgot (in the beginning) to check in (I have the premium service @ $99/yr), and I have my brother listed as a Contact person. They called him, he called me, they called me, would call 911 shortly if I didnt respond NOW! My Time Limit was set at 12 Noon, I reported in at 12:02pm. So, I now have changed from 00:01-11:59am to check in daily, to 00:01-13:30, or 12:01am to 1:30pm daily. I now check in mostly mid mornings.
It’s good to have, works in all of contiguous 48 states, where ever your cell phone is located. BTW, age 84 and now a widower.

Loving it

I live alone and my love ones are a distance away from me. I don’t drive and I feel so isolated. If something were to happen to me who would know? The snug app gives me a chance to prove I’m alive. The response makes me feel as though someone is watching out for me and watching for my signal. It is indeed reassuring. My mood is so much better just from having this app. I love it. My family loves it as well. They have a chaotic schedule (to me) and tell me how reassured they are about my safety and condition. Thanks Snug.

Safety and awareness

It’s very beneficial for me to check in on a daily basis as it keeps me on track to make sure I’m okay every morning. My major concern, and it doesn’t have anything to do with Snug, is that if I don’t respond, I don’t have someone to check on me on a timely basis. The person who is my contact doesn’t make the effort to check on me if I don’t respond. She rarely, if ever, responds to anyone quickly. She’s always more involved in her own life (self, family, and then friends). If I don’t respond, I’d appreciate it if Snug could/would contact a call center or emergency personnel to make sure I’m okay. I’ve never needed someone to be contacted, but just in case. I don’t have any family and very few close friends.
