Reviews of Heartline Study

  • Heartline-a game change

Just got into the study and learning how to use my Series 6 Apple Watch. I found the support from both the Heartline and Apple great as I had several questions. It is, to my surprise, somewhat enjoyable to get a reminder to “breath mindfully “with a clever GIF for timing. The EKG rhythm strip is of high quality and very easy to use. Integration of the various segments of the study is well done. It is minimally intrusive so far and I think a real game changer for patients with a family history of atrial fib or who just have extra heart beats, like myself, and want to monitor it at home. So far, it fills my needs and Seems to be a well designed study. Also, you can withdraw from the study without any penalty. I will write a followup review in about 6-8 weeks. Highly recommended! Overall, I’d like the information provided by the app. However, I missed many points because of the lack of sync between my watch and the phone. I completed almost all the exercises, but particularly near the end of the study, it looks like I didn’t, because I didn’t get credit for hardly any of them. We need a way to be able to access an archive to redo exercises that don’t come through with credit. I’ve been doing this so long I feel a sense of loss that the study is over so I hope you will continue to collect data from us to benefit mankind and to help people with heart conditions. On a separate note, I would like to have a blood pressure app on my Iwatch because that is very important and I am missing it. I would also like to have some kind of thermometer. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the study. I found the feedback of the Asa portion, extremely valuable, and help me determine sometimes whether to call EMS. My doctor reviewed the data every time I went into the Cardiologist’s office I know he found it helpful, too.

  • My Heartline research study life

I am so thankful and grateful for being able to participate in this study. It changed my life for the better. It’s been an amazing 2 years that’s quickly gone by. I have learned a great deal about myself. The articles to read are short and concise. The watch part of the study is a tool I hope to have forever. So much joy from it. I have contacted customer support once when my phone needed to be replaced and they are superior people that focus on you!! Great problem solvers they are and so patient for a 70 year old chick. I morphed from my former unstructured self into an improved model by participating in this study. My preset watch has helped me in so many ways it’s difficult for me to put into words. I have tremendous respect for the researchers and their knowledge to help me and others from the data collected from the study. I am sad it’s ending for me, but I will continue working on my own with the framework instilled into me. Many heartfelt thanks to all for this life changing journey!!
