All Versions of ECG+ | Analyzer for QTc & HRV

1.8.3

June 1, 2024

The latest version introduces two advanced methods for QT interval identification: the Tangent Method, which measures the QT interval by drawing a tangent at the steepest point of the T-wave, and the Threshold Method, which sets a threshold level for consistent measurements even in challenging ECGs. Additionally, our advanced algorithm now automatically selects the most appropriate QTc formula based on your specific ECG data, ensuring accurate and personalized QTc calculations. You can now monitor and analyze PR interval trends over time to gain deeper insights into your heart's electrical activity. Additional Improvements: We have enhanced the user interface with a streamlined and intuitive design for easier navigation and improved user experience. Performance optimizations have been made to ensure faster processing times and smoother operation, even with large datasets. Various minor bug fixes have been addressed to enhance stability and reliability. Experience the most advanced ECG analysis tool with these new features and improvements. Update to the latest version of ECG+ today and take your cardiac health monitoring to the next level!

1.7.13

We have made progress in refining our algorithm, particularly in its capacity to accurately identify artifacts within ECG readings, especially those occurring in the middle of the signal. These artifacts, often resulting from finger movement during ECG tests on Apple Watch, introduce noise into the data and make it hard to read the actual ECG data. Through enhancements to our algorithm, we have effectively mitigated these artifacts, ensuring precise interpretation of the genuine ECG data.

We've further refined our algorithm, enhancing its capacity to identify 'skipped beats' associated with Premature Atrial Contractions (PACs) or Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVCs), which can lead to palpitations—manifesting as sensations of a rapid, fluttering, or pounding heartbeat. By precisely pinpointing these skipped beats on the ECG report, your physician can gain deeper insight into your symptoms, enabling more comprehensive discussions and a better understanding of your health concerns.

We've fine-tuned our algorithm once more, improving its ability to detect 'skipped beats' linked with PACs or PVCs, triggering palpitations—feelings of a fast-beating, fluttering, or pounding heart. With these skipped beats accurately marked on the ECG report, your doctor will better understand your concerns, facilitating clearer discussions.

Description of ECG+ | Analyzer for QTc & HRV

ECG+ integrates with Apple Health to unleash the greatest power of your Apple Watch ECG, by analyzing and calculating intervals like QT/QTc, PR or QRS, and heart rate variability (HRV) out of your ECG data. QT/QTc are critical measurements linked to life-threatening arrhythmias. HRV is widely considered one of the best objective metrics for physical fitness and determining your body’s readiness to perform. HRV refers to the variation in time between successive heartbeats, which is an indicator of the health of the autonomic nervous system. QT interval refers to the time it takes for the heart to recharge between beats, which is important for assessing cardiac health. In the ECG+ app, you can do many things about your ECG recordings from Apple Watch ECG - 1. HRV Trends - with HRV trends you can learn your health level changes. A up hill trend means a better physical fitness level and a down hill indicates you should pay more attention to your overall health. With QT trends you can monitor closely your QT intervals over a period of time and seek healthcare attention whenever a prolonged QT is identified automatically. 2. Measure QT and calculate QTc - ECG+ app automatically identify and measure QT for you, and you can choose one out of 6 QTc formulas to do the QTc calculation 3. Long QTc warning - the app automatically calculates and shows a long QTc warning if a QTc is exceeding the normal range (normal range is based on gender) 4. ECG report - ECG+ app provides a much more comprehensive report than the default report from Apple Health, and it includes R-R markings, HRV Poincaré plot, 6 intervals, heartbeat signatures and more, with which you can get a much clearer picture of how your heart is functioning [Disclaimer] All findings associated to the ECG readings in the ECG+ app, including but not limited to PAC/PVC detection, Long QT detection and HRV calculation, do NOT suggest diagnosis. It only provides more information for you with which to consult your doctor, not as a substitute to doing so. Terms of use - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/appstore/dev/stdeula

  • Wish it offered more for free

It’s nice to use but I wish it offered more in the free version. It’s a bummer that all these apps are trying to get so much money all the time just to have more information so they only give you a little bit. It’s better than nothing though and seems fairly comprehensive.I’ll keep using the free version until I find if there’s a better more useful free version of another app if not, I might have to pay for this one.
  • Accurate

So, I am a retired Paramedic and can red ECGs very well. I knew I was having an irregular heart rhythm so I downloaded this ap and printed out my latest one lead ecg. I knew what it was and went to the Emergency Room with the print out (off my printer) and ap was spot on and matched 12 lead in ER. They (the Er doc) was quite impressed with the interpretation and print out. Your experience with this ap may be different but mine has been very good so far. Highly recommend. In order to print out your ecg, you have to download it as a PDF.
  • Very accurate

As a CT ICU nurse of 34 years I find the readings on the EKG app to be surprisingly accurate! I’m very impressed with the quality of the telemetry given that it’s from a watch on my wrist. It’s also quite reassuring as I get older to know that it can automatically monitor for simply arrhythmia so I can be more proactive in following up with my physician on my heart health. Great job!!
