  • A lot of fun but waging money doesn’t make sense. You will lose money more than make money

Waging money is the only way to move up on tiers. Tiers are a level you are playing to increase ranking. Increased ranking will allow you to build up your bank further so you can collect faster. Playing for fun will get you no where. Tether does give you free “money” credit along the way for achievements, but in the end you will lose more money than make money. I am a rather good player and I thought I was doing pretty good but I swear I felt like I was just spinning in my wheels getting no where. It literally feels like you are stepping one step forward and then two steps back. The “juice” that tether collects off of every tournament whether you win or lose is too high and it’s too difficult to catch up

I have to say the games are fun overall but as far as making money....... you are better off playing the lottery

    That’s just my opinion

We are sorry you feel that the wagers are unfair, we will pass on your feedback to Skillz. You can also play for virtual currency without playing for real cash prizes! Thanks for posting a review :)
  • Misleading

I signed up after seeing an ad for it,which I found misleading. Anyway,I love the game, very addicting! I've only played a few cash games with the money I've got from trophies and I notice I lose most of the time. During practices though, after lots of practice..I win most of those. Doesn't make sense to me at all. Rigged? Maybe. For example,i can play twenty practice games getting 6,000 pts per game and then go over to a cash game and come out with 1,200 pts or so.. just doesn't seem right at all. Who knows. I wouldn't use my own money here.

  • Amazing and additive

Great app and doesn’t lie I ahem actually got money
  • Addictive

    Very addictive game
  • Nice Diversion and some free cash to get started.

I’ve been playing for a couple of weeks. Site is well run and appears to be safe and fair. They have treated me well, with initial matching cash (must use on site) and have provided additional “free” cash along the way (10% added to my cash in) I appreciate the game difficulty and the challenge of tough head to head matches and tournaments. Nice 3-5 minute mind exercise or diversion when you have a wait for something else.

  • Bad

I find it funny how once u play for money 90%of the time u start without someone then after u start and when u finish u have to wait for the score they post which always seems to be higher. Looks like a scam to me. Seems like they see what your score is so they can make sure u get beat. Probably playing the computer. Will not be playing money on this app again. Fun game if it was legit. Maybe try starting the games at same time and finish at same time or show in corner person u r playing while u play.

Ok got response from you on your game. So I put it to a test. The games I played for money that found me someone to play before game started I won 10 out of 12 games the games that couldn’t find me someone to play until after I posted my score I was 1 for 9 you say you don’t cheat people lol come on totally rigged outcome.

Update: Thanks for the more detailed info. We've reached out to Skillz and asked them to audit their matchmaking feature. They have completed the analysis and could not find any bias for the first player into a match compared to the second player. If you're amenable, could you send us an email at info@tetherstudios.com? I'd like for the team to do a deep dive on your match history to see if there are any degenerate patterns that you have personally experienced in regards to the relative ranking of your opponents. ---------- Thanks for the feedback. I can assure you that there are no bots in the game and that both players get the exact same pieces in the same order. The matchmaking can sometimes take a while if there are not people of similar skill level which is the reason for the delay. We've definitely heard that this approach causes suspicion in the past, but unfortunately the partner we use for the tournament system (Skillz) does not offer an option to Only allow synchronous (same time) matches yet. For any cash matches there should be an option to "Watch Replay" once the match is complete which has a full video recording of both players so you can verify that the other people is playing fairly. Videos are not recorded for the virtual currency matches mainly because there are a lot more of them and it would be challenging to store every single replay.
