Needs Motion Events
So they fixed the glitch where the cameras would remain offline unless you swiped the app away. Now I just wish there were motion points on playback... I tried to set it to motion record, but maybe I'm missing something. Cameras are much better quality than Home life though!Moe Cholla

Not reliable
I had the system installed in May. It is now August and I have had to delete and reinstall the app several times because the cameras keep going down. I have also had to restart the box repeatedly because the cameras go down. This is not a problem with the Wi-Fi because the cameras are hardwired to the box.Show lessKarlita2013
Good but slow
I’ve owned a Bolide system for a few years now. The overall functionality is great; however, the updated app is quite a bit slower to load the feed from the channels. In addition, playback is much slower and a bit cumbersome. Scanning through time is difficult. The previous version was fantastic in that regard. I wish they could bring back that speed. Among my favorite features are adjusting the sensitivities within different fields of view and email alerts for motion detection. Overall 3.5/5 however if they make the improvements to the app and bring back the speed the rating would be much higher.Show lessPHiloC3phy
Useful but needs work
The mobile app is very helpful to monitor events, on and off premise. A few bugs that I observe are that the cameras load when I first open the app, but if I switch apps quickly (for example to text about an ongoing situation at the venue) and jump back, the cameras will not load and I have to restart the app to make it work.
Another issue I have is that when I zero in on a clip of an incident and try to view it, and then go back to watch it again, that specific clip that I’m looking for disappears and gets skipped over. I can access the actual recorder and view from there, but the app doesn’t allow it.
Other than that it is a useful app and I enjoy using it!Show lessJonah27b
Name of app not accurate
The app should be called Slow connect since it takes too long for the camera picture/view to appear. By the time “Quick Connect”shows the camera image I wanted to see the event has passed.

What is wrong with the app??
We have had theses cameras for over 2 years now generally with out any issues but since our I-phones did the most current update our app is not working. Our cameras say offline. We have un installed and reinstalled the app several times and still not working. Very frustrating.Jenn S Jones

Your app interface is outdated.
Not intuitive,Hard to use , and slow.
Just today I attempted to review footage from 2 days ago... I wasn’t able to do it.
The interface online is even more difficult and over complicated.
Each time I try to review anything I wind up calling your help line, the support is helpful but the Mac interface is non existent
Save your money and the headache go with a different system. My electrician talked me into this system
