  • Never again

    Other then picture quality, and the ability to record, both of which you can get with any, ANY, other system out there, there’s not much good about Defender or their so called “app”! Their app is completely worthless and there’s no support. There’s never any updates and there’s never an my attempt to make it better let alone fix anything. o assume it’s in the hopes you’ll just buy another system. Which I will. But I won’t be anything made by Defender!

    No, I will never buy another Defender system again! The cameras don’t last. Not but maybe 3 years in and the infrared puked on one camera. Now, two other cameras have developed vertical multi-colored lines.

    I can see now why many spend the money on Ring! Or any other brand out for that matter. At least with Ring, and many other systems; their apps work and it’s easy to share video if need be. Playback and sharing on this app is the worst!

    I have had this security system for 13 years now and still been working good. I can check or see my staff remotely where ever the internet present.

    But I am going to upgrade to the new tech system like 4K and two way talk…soon.
  • Works good most of the time

    Great system to keep an eye on things why you are away. There are times it will not let me view but the wife can from her phone or vice versa. Don’t understand that.

    I try contact them but body care
    I can’t see my camera in my cellphone and my wife cellphone

  • Finally, but

    I finally resolved the not getting notifications issue I was having. But now I’d like to let the developers of the app know, please make it so I can decide which cameras I get notifications from? As I don’t need notifications from every single camera. Example: I prefer and only need to get notified when someone approaches my front or back door or pulls in my driveway. So if there’s anyway you guys can do that, can make that happen, please do. Thanks in advance!

  • App not windows friendly

    The number one in apps are in windows! When I first bought my system with 4/wireless WiFi camera’s it was perfect. Today the Defender system does not support WiFi so if you buy a new computer or a cell that is not apple IOS you can not connect to your system. After a neighbor’s drive by shooting and now mail box thefts on our street I would NOT suggest Defender!!!

  • So many questions...

    WHY WOULD I HAVE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT TO USE THE APP?! IT WOUN’T EVEN LET ME CREATE ONE. “Password is incorrect”. WHY HAVE YOU NOT OPTIMISED THE APP FOR THE NEW IPHONE SCREENS EITHER?!

  • Not a very good app

    I have both 1080 and 480 cameras and I always have problems with being able to view my video if I’m not connected to a strong wi-fi signal. Just recently I lost the ability to view the 480 cameras and I haven’t been able to get it to come back; I even tried deleting the device and reinstalling it several times. The app has become practically useless for me.

  • Slow to load but clear picture

    It seems like the software needs to be updated. My iPhone 11 will not load but once. To open again you have to swipe up to totally close out then it will load again. My husbands older iPhone works fine. So really with an update it would get a higher review.
