This app is good for learning and it teaches you different things that you have never done before!

Stop Using This App Or Fix It

I have a few major complaints.

1. You HAVE to look at the hosts screen for the question or ask them for it. Not so convenient.

2. Stop using shapes for answering. Just let us see the options.

3. It is hard to use on laggy video calls.

4. The time limit pressures people and it becomes a giant race. Then you overthink and get it wrong. This is also a bad thing for if you are doing this all on a video call or if you have trouble reading.

These are only some of the complaints about this website/app. I recommend not using this app unless they make the app better and more usable instead of horrible and hard to use.

Hello! Kahoot! has now launched questions and answers displayed on the controller during Live Games as a new game mode. You will be able to turn it on through the game settings prior to starting a live game. Simply turn on the Questions and Answers on the controller’s device to activate this.

Frustrating

This is such a good idea for our weekly family quiz but I can’t even get my head around it let alone my 75 year old dad!
I have spent time making the quiz and then shared it with my dad to test it and it says shared successfully but despite pressing 5 times, nothing has reached my dad.
I have no idea where to generate a pin either.

Adding the questions is easy enough but the rest of it...? It could be made so much more user friendly... So unfortunately... I’m giving up!

Kahoot! Is terrible, this is why.

Kahoot! is mostly based off of speed and not actual smarts, someone could get 1 or 2 questions wrong and go really fast while someone else could get 100% and go slow and steady, guess who will get first? The person who went really fast, another reason it’s bad is that you can’t see the questions and answers unless your teacher had a projector or something else to project, the only way you can see them is if you do a challenge, I understand this may be to prevent random people from also doing the Kahoot but make it a setting so that others can see the question and answer. So while this game is not good as a study tool, you can use it for other things such as team building activities if you know how to work it right, you could make it in team mode and challenge everyone to work together in order to win, but otherwise it’s not really a good study tool as it’s speed over smarts.

Please note that you can disable the "Timer" in the settings of the Challenge. Once you do it only the accuracy of the answer is taken into consideration.

Deleted All Of My Work

Wow. Thanks Sooooo Much.
I Have Been Working On Quizzes Every Single Day. Yesterday I Didn’t Go In Kahoot And What A Surprise, All If My Kahoots Are Gone Now. I Spent HOURS On Those For School And For Fun.
For Online Learning We Have To Use Kahoot A lot, And Now About 60% Of Where I Would Get My Markings Is Gone.

Don’t use unless your all in the same room together

Such a shame, I spent 6 hours creating a quiz to share with friends on Friday night only to discover that the participants can only view the coloured boxes and NOT the questions, pictures, videos or anything! So for this to work I would host and read out the questions, read out the answers, explain which answers fit in which boxes and have 20 seconds to do this in! Surely this is an easy fix and would make a massive difference to this experience.

Glitchy

It will say 3 people have done the quiz but only show my results, even when I restart the app. Also I finished a quiz and then it said I was only a few questions in. Needs to be fixed. But it is fun with the family when it works.

Bad for personal use

At school it is a good app, but at home it has caused me so much stress. I used my little sisters account she made to make a quiz for my family. My sister is twelve. I spent ALOT of time on it, and I got my family together to do the Kahoot I made. Then the Kahoot! would only stay on draft, I kept trying to find ways to upload it so my family could play it, but there where no options to do so. I took further research and it turns out some one under 13 can upload a Kahoot, I accepted my fate and decided to make a new account using my mums email, it said “a error has occurred” it Woolf to let me make a new one, and the one I had made a Kahoot that I spent hours on wouldn’t let me activate and/or play it! I just wasted a lot of time. But for school it is very good!

Hello! I am sorry to hear about this experience. Young users (below 13 years old in the US or 16 years old elsewhere) can create, save, and host their games. They cannot share them due to Children Privacy Policy.

Cant see q’s and Answers on devices

There are literally 100’s of comments and votes on Kahoot website asking for the feature that allows people to turn on and off capability to see questions on individual devices; this would be extremely helpful now in quarantine. It is obvious that this company isn’t willing to let go of their narrow-minded approach and a competitor is required in this space.

Hi! During Live games only the host of the game has the questions and answers shown on the main screen, while the players get to only choose the pictogram of the correct answer on their device. Host a challenge to allow the participants to see both questions and answers on their device.

Relies on shared screen

Really disappointed with the app. During the covid19 pandemic, I wanted a way to create a game and then get my friends to participate each in our own home/city/country so we could keep ourselves entertained and busy. But the app only allows you to host a quiz that relies on a shared screen. The participants don’t see the answers on their device, only the corresponding colour and shape. This is a ridiculous flaw and one you should change. There should be an option to play the quiz without a shared screen and that the people playing see the answers on their phones.

Otherwise this would be a great app. Such a shame. I’ll come back when you sort it out.
