  • Useless App

    Since moving to their new server, this app does not work. Cannot control heaters via app, only standard programme recognised which cannot be modified.

    Now need to replace all heaters as Millheat app developers have managed to destroy a previously good system. Tickets to helpdesk are either unanswered or say problem’s being worked on - for 6 months!!!

  • Very poor experience

    This is not a hardware review, the heaters themselves operate ok - although after a while they start overheating and being unable to control temperature.
    The app, however, is pathetic. Statistics don’t update until the app is killed and restarted. Sending commands to a heater often takes a long time and fails silently. Connection can drop out at any moment, and there were a few server outages that also made the app useless. Although the developer is given as Mill Norway, bits in the app suggested it was outsourced to some Chinese coding house. On the plus side, scheduling is reasonably flexible (when it works).

    Update: and now some sort of platform migration, asking to reset devices or wait “24-48 hours” for them to reappear in the app. I’m not hopeful

  • Update Failed

    The latest app update forces you to migrate to the vendors new platform from within the app, great I thought, only problem is the migration fails no matter how many times I try. I now can’t access the app to operate the heaters at all, thankfully it’s summer, let’s hope they sort it before the weather takes a turn, which in England could be very soon.

  • When it works, it is great but..

    I have found that when broadband service drops, after a while the units lose the live contact with the router and need to be deleted and reinstalled in the application. This can be very time consuming and frustrating. There does not appear to be any live help line so one just has to try and try endlessly until the problem is resolved.

  • Useless and dangerous

    The application itself is poorly executed, but the real danger is the socket adapter hardware. They are near impossible to install properly, and if you’re lucky enough to manage to install them on the 20th or 30th try (I’m not exaggerating, and I’ve tried both Gen 2 and Gen 3), they cut out without warning and can both stop heating all together, or go into overdrive and heat the room to sauna-like temperatures. The real danger is the stop heating part. If you rely on these to heat your house or cabin in winter, beware, that can cost you. This is my first or maybe second review in App Store after using iPhone since 2007, so it tells you something about my frustration level. I’ve contacted support and they were distinctly unhelpful. I recommend you steer clear of Mill and their products.

  • Nice but buggy app

    Hard to change settings with not informative error messages when it will not update.
  • You should reset Wi-Fi if you purchase a used one

  • Better now some bugs are fixed

    I’ve spent far too long suffering from connection issues with this ecosystem. The recent fix now means I can actually connect Gen 2 devices to their servers. I did everything before and nothing worked. All my other IOT devices connected no problem. I even bought a new router to resolve the issue.

    I’m glad it’s now working but my god, how long does it take to fix this issue with so many affected devices in the wild? I’ve never used devices that are so fussy with port requirements for it to be mostly an issue at their end. I’m not impressed at all.

  • Continuous connection problems

    The heaters themselves are ok, however the app is badly coded and very buggy. The heaters keep dropping from wi-fi, which renders the programs useless. Being able to program the temperature was the reason why I bought these heaters, but now I have to go room by room several times a day to tweak the temperature.

  • Great for two months

    Was great for two months then it said offline on the app and nothing will get it to reconnect to the wifi. Help section is terrible

    Update: managed to get it to reconnect after two weeks, worked for two days and now just stops working all the time. Had been off for hours yesterday for no reason, reconnected during the day and now has turned off again. Don’t use for anything that relies on heat
