Good but glitchy

I love being able to control my heater from bed. Trying to set a program via the app closes the app when selecting “save” but it can be done manually. You can’t be using the auto and decide to turn it on and off in between the programs. I wish more heaters had this kind of functionality with a fully working app.

Useless

Good idea if it worked. Continually fails to contact, when it does it doesn’t let you use it to change times on auto. Only temperature or turn it on and off, if your lucky. Spent a lot of money purchasing these two heaters because supposedly they can be controlled via bluetooth, what a joke.
Try to change times for on and off on auto no chance, set on time app automatically sets off to to 15 minutes later, try to set off time app automatically changes on time to 15 minutes earlier. So unless you only want heater on for only fifteen minutes at a time you didn’t choose you have to go to the heater and do the changes on there. Purchased two expensive heaters that are advertised as being controllable by Bluetooth, no chance surely this needs looking at under the Trades Description Act.

Generally ok

App works generally ok, but does tend to crash when/after changing the auto program.
It’s really annoying to have to select the device when the app starts, there should be a setting to automatically connect to a device (most people will only have one).

Disappointed

This app is rubbish I purchased my heater in November and set my heating program manually all worked well until I downloaded the app which worked the first couple of times, but now it won’t allow me to change any settings or save them and continuously shuts down. This was an expensive heater bought so I can control with my phone but it has proved to be useless be warned and do not purchase.

App Doesn’t Work

I purchased the Evo Rad2 and the Remo app jus keeps crashing on my iPhone. Worked fine for a few days and now when setting the timer function, as soon as you select ‘save’ the app closes. This is a main feature why i purchased this product. Will be sending it back if a fix isn’t available within my 30days period.

App crashes since update

I purchased my heater in 2018, at which time the app worked quite well with some minor bugs. however throughout the entirety of 2019 and 2020 I have experienced issues with this app. The app finds the heater but will do nothing when you choose to connect to it, and on the occasions it does allow me to connect, it won’t allow me to change the settings of the heater such as scheduling it to turn on. I paid extra for this heater against others because I could schedule it and use this app to easily control it and I can’t do that so I feel I was mis-sold. I am disappointed in Dimplex and no longer have any confidence in them as a brand.

Awful app

Even with the latest update which was supposed to fix crashes for convection heaters. Well, it doesn’t. App connects then crashes, reopen and try again and it works sometimes. I’ve had my heater over a year and still this app doesn’t work properly. The app and Bluetooth is why I bought the heater.

Can’t program my heater

There is a problem I can’t program my heater because the app closes when I press save. Use to work fine and don’t know what happen with the app.

Breaks with Every Update

Don’t know why they need to update when it is working ok. It stops working every time they do an update. Good customer support though....they fix the issues once you let them know. 2 starts just for them.

Rapid response and excellent service from Dimplex (GDHV)

The Dimplex Remo app stopped working with our Dimplex convector heater (model no. 403-BTB), presumably because of updating to the latest version of iOS (13). The Remo app could see the heater via BlueTooth, but the moment it connected the app crashed.

I contacted Dimplex, and they responded right away. Three updates and about a week later, they have released a version (2.1) that now works with iOS 13.

Excellent service; we are way more likely to buy another Dimplex product, and recommend them to others.
