  • Daily glitch [fixed]

I was having fun with this, but I’ve had several days now where the timer “resets” on my daily objectives after only a couple of battles. I don’t even get a chance to collect one of the rewards, let alone the one for completing them all.

The recent update has since fixed this issue; very happy with the quick response from the devs!

  • Waiting for the impossible

Constant adds popping up, ships you fight are much much harder to win against because they advance in level much faster than you do, and when you lose a battle the repair wait time is ridiculous and then just to go into your next battle to get defeated again then another ridiculous repair wait time....
Great concept, but needs a lot of work!

  • Great game

Unlike a lot of games you don’t have to buy anything to actually play. It’s a lot of fun and getting premium currency isn’t too hard. You can do challengers each day and get like 40 and then watch adds and get like 20 more. Researching new tech isn’t a waiting game, if you have the credits you get it instantly. You can also buy upgraded components for either standard credits or premium currency. The only waiting is after you lose ship to ship PVP or the fleet battle PVP. Strategy is key and placement of components can make a low level ship a match for ships that are way above it in level. There’s a learning curve but once you figure it out it gets a lot easier. I recommend not spending premium currency to upgrade ships till at least level 10. Instead buy more ship yard slots. The upgrades add a few extra slots to different sections. Some extend the front, add a few extra slots near the middle, extend the rear, or add more engine slots. Best mobile game I’ve played!

  • Good game, great support

Really enjoyed this game and even spent some money on it but then it wasn’t working so I thought I’d delete it and reinstall, being attached to game centre I thought my purchase and progress would be saved but it wasn’t and now I have to start again. Update : been in contact with their support who are very quick to respond and have sorted the issue. Just remember to link it to your Facebook account! Great support.

Thanks for your feedback here :) We'll add GameCenter linking option later as well, but at the moment FB linking is the only option that will save players from losing their progress. Anyway, we're ready to help at support@herocraft.com!
  • Potential Marred

There’s so much to like about this little time waster; do your best to build a ship capable of bringing down other ships. There’s tons of depth to be had, if only that depth wasn’t hidden underneath under frustratingly steep module and chassis costs that come and are made obsolete far too quickly to keep up with, without opening your wallet anyway.

The actual combat mechanics are a crap shoot. There is no rhyme or reason to how penetrating weapons actually deal damage to modules behind them, no consistency in how the AI engages opponents or what they aim for, warp drives have no discernible activation behavior, afterburners do... Nothing as far as I’ve seen.

Now there’s some blatantly p2w “destroyer” chassis unashamedly borrowed directly from Star Wars that wholly mops the floor with everything and starts showing up in the matchmaking when you are 15 levels below the comparable “legit” hull. This exacerbates the already glaring issues with matchmaking; matches are made according only to arena rank, so you find yourself quickly outclassed after you actually start to win fights and have to start saving over weeks to get a better hull; there is no way to make actual money besides winning fights so your progress gets bottlenecked by luck of the draw over your proficiency as a player.

It was cool for the first 10 levels or so, then quickly became markedly grindy, finally coming to a rest at “not fun.”

  • Was fun while it lasted.

The game was enjoyable before all of my progress got reset. I got a new phone and all of my old data was erased. My account was linked to Facebook which was supposed to save my data, but it did not.

The combat was satisfying to watch and figuring out the best ways to build ships was great fun.

The matchmaking system is pretty broken though. You're paired against people of a similar rank, you gain one rank point for winning and lose none after a loss. So instead of staying in a bracket where your ship is competitive you end up losing repetitively. It makes progress to the next tier impossible since your current ship can't keep up with your opponents and you have no way of making money or xp. So without spending loads of money in game you're stuck watching your ship getting blown to pieces by higher tiered ships repeatedly.

  • Enjoyable but issues.

Enjoyable way to spend a little time. Having to wait for your ships to repair gets repetitive. Especially when it doesn’t match you with an opponent correctly and you get what appears to be a glitched fight that you always count as losing.

Opponent shows as %enemy% instead of name, screen goes blank and your ship counts as destroyed. Frustrating for lunch time play or “win streaks”.

Will I still play? Yes. Will I spend money, not as long as that still happens.

Adam, please accept our apologies for this issue! Could you, please, send us to support@herocraft.com your nickname and, maybe, a couple of screenshots with this problem? Thank you in advance!
  • Decent game for first 10 minutes

This games is interesting for the first 10 minutes, the problem, different weapons work better against certain enemies depending on their layout, once you click battle you can’t change your ships layout so you end up going into some battles with a layout that is TOTALLY useless, get destroyed in about 3 seconds and end up waiting ages to be able to battle again only for the same thing to happen again. Not wasting my time. Be better if you knew what you was up against before you go into battle so you can create a layout that has a reasonable chance of winning, otherwise it’s like walking into a gun fight with a knife.

I’ll give another star for a response, still could be better

Well, you can always think on "universal" layout for your ship, there are those which are certainly good against 80% ships. But we completely understand if you prefer casual games, thank you for your interest in our game, at least.
  • Good game but has issues

I enjoyed this game because I found it to be a good way of killing time. Though I dislike that ships in the game can become obsolete as your level increases and the random fights at based on your level not class makes getting money and new ships difficult. I think the game would be better if players had the choice how the random fight are pick, whether it's chosen based on the players level or chosen based on the Players ship class. This way players can buy newer bigger ships but still keep their old favorites.

Though with this new update my account lost all its information thus setting me back by months. I'm still on the fence whether I should just quit now or try all over again.

I choose to give this game four stars because it did its job keeping me entertained, though the issues I mentioned before are thing the developers should look into.

  • Fun for a time BUT......

This game is fun for a while. However, it doesn’t take long before the only way you can compete with even smaller less powerful ships is to purchase upgrades. Unfortunately it becomes impossible to win enough to get these upgrades without resorting to buying several in app purchases. The game is very obviously slanted in such a way that it becomes impossible to win against even ships that by the statistics should have no chance against you. It is dismaying to find yet another game that is very fun but so obviously geared towards forcing you to their in app purchases. I kept track in twenty fights fifteen were against ships at least a class above my own and unbeatable and the remaining five got LUCKY hits that had no business doing the damage they did. Too much coincidence for my tastes.
