  • Fun, creative, frustrating (Updated)

    Pros:
    1. It’s fun unlocking tech and designing ships.
    2. Combat is quick with nice graphics.

    Cons:
    1. Match making is seriously broken. It looks at what you’ve unlocked, not what you’re using. This routinely leads to unwinable fights.
    2. There is no compensation when replace a ship. To add a new ship Hull it must completely replace a given ship in your available ship bays. I get this but the replaced ship simply disappears along with all the resources you’ve put into it.
    3. The game is entirely PvP. Even the “campaign” is fighting other players and it too scales up in difficulty faster than your ships requiring time spent farming.
    4. “Fleet” battles are a joke. There is no visible fight. Simply a list of 4 teams and a results (i.e., you lost X ships and destroyed Y ships).
    5. As I’ve moved into bigger ships I’ve found when the close in they overlap allow weapons to hit areas they shouldn’t be able to. This totally bypasses all defenses.

    Suggestions:
    1. Make the campaign vs. AI and scale more appropriately.
    2. Slow down the advancement rate on league ranks.
    3. Add a daily combat mission for resources (aside from the existing “fight X times” tasks).
    4. Allow the player to choose the ship they will fight with based on the enemy matched. Currently, you select your ship and fight whatever is thrown at you.
    5. Totally rework fleet battles. Make the fleet battles one person’s fleet vs one person’s fleet in viewable real time.

  • Amaizing

I love this app and I love the many different ships and weapons you can use. It allows you to creat so many different ships for your chosen play style. But my only problem is the time for your ship to repair. Having better and bigger ships means longer repair time. It makes sense of a literal level but in a game I want to be able to fight many ships testing new styles and ways to build my ship with out having to wait half a hour in-between my defeats. It really slows the pace of the game especially when you consider the amount of money and EXP in between ships and levels. I’m not saying a total removal of the repair time but reduce it but a lot for the bigger ships or have a set repair time for each category of ships. That way it’s more reasonable and easier to play for a longer period of time. Other than that criticism i love the game and can’t wait for future update with more ships and utility’s to choose from! Very excited.

  • Major, Glaring, Flaws.

Fun enough, simple time killer. But it comes with a few major issues.

    1. The Raven ship comes with two Fighters that, well, don’t really fight. My fighters will get in a shot or two and then disappear off into the sunset, flying off the map never to be seen again. Meanwhile the enemies fighters are more than happy to stick around and triple team me.

    2. Inconsistency. In one instance (let’s use the Raven again) I begin combat and my two ships fly in immediately. As they begin to fire my ship blasts into the fray, joining in on the damage and usually that just about cripples them. But the very next match my two ships zoom in, and my main just sits there and waits. Doesn’t even so much as budge for about 5 seconds while the enemy takes down both of my fighters then turns on me for a 3v1. If I can’t control my ships at least make them consistent, if not logical.

    3. Price jump. Ship X is worth 50k. Ship Y is worth 99k. Ship Z is worth 250k. Where did that come from, and why? I’m about to level into the next bracket of ships anyways, and lord knows I don’t make that much credit per fight. At level 8-9 I’m making about ~7k a pop. And you want me to buy a 250k ship? That is about to become obsolete in the next 10 matches anyways? So by the time I’m ready for the next ship (which is like 300k) I’m not even halfway to ship Z. How does that make any sense to anyone?

Glaring issues my friends, make for a painfully average app. At best.

  • Short-lived game unless you spend money

Another reviewer was spot on: ships become obsolete quickly and are too expensive to replace without paying real money. Your ships don’t get matched based on its class. They are matched by your ranking. My level 6 ship just got matched against a level 12 and level 15 in the last two matches I played. My other two ships are level 7 and 10. The level 10 does well sometimes but is quickly becoming average.

The game doesn’t reward you with enough credits to buy new ships for each hangar you own or keep up with new tech research, so you end up with fairly useless ships to play with unless your opponent has a horrible design. Add to the fact when you lose a battle there is a repair timer, so depending on your matchmaking luck, you may have a very short play session.

I do recommend trying this game though because it is fun to play and test out different ship builds, but due to increasing repair timers and pricey ships and tech as you progress, the game slows down a lot and ultimately won’t stay on the virtual “shelf” for long.

  • Obnoxious warp drive

I love this game. But if I could change one thing about it it would be to get rid of the warp drive completely. 4 things

    1) when two flanker strategy ships engage in combat whoevers warp drive consistently activates second wins because the first ship to jump gains no advantage as his adversary jumps behind him almost immediately.

    2) there is no rhyme or reason to the jump sequence. 1 warp drive, 2 or even 3 does not seem to change the frequency or timing of the jump.

    3) (probably just bad luck if it's random) concerning when one ship is a flanker and the other is not. the enemy ship consistently jumps to my unarmored flank whereas when I have my flanker it consistently jumps to a neutral position giving me no discernible advantage

    4) not concerning the warp drive. Uneven battle pairing. Through level 15 it was very nice and I was consistently matched with the same or similar (1-2 levels) ships. Now that I'm level 23 I have been paired with ships as high as level 27 which I have no hope of beating.

Suggestion. For fleet combat instead of having the silly little match up why not allow a matchup between the three ships I own and another players fleet where it would be like one ship on one ship but 3 versus 3.

  • Good, but won’t reload now.

Rest game with almost infinite ship configurations, all round great fun and easy enough to progress without spending any money if you take advantage of the daily missions and don’t watching a few very short adverts every 5or6 hours (or just when you log in). Well it was until I got to level 28, now it just won’t reload, which is a shame because I was enjoying the game and progressing well. No updates available so that’s not the problem.

  • Good game, few bugs tho

Good game, fun to play, fun designing your own ship layouts and it gives you enough free currency to play the game at a slowish pace, enough for me,
Only really annoying thing is, there daily achievements to complete for a bucket of cash, but the one that says get rewards from friends, always, I click the reward for friends, the game locks out, and when finally reloads it won't let me click the thing again for 18 hours! But didn't register that I clicked it so can't complete the daily challenge either!!!! Frustrating

  • Sad Reality

It’s a simple fun game to play a bit here and there, at first. Unfortunately, ships quickly become obsolete, and buying a “cutting edge” one is very expensive. Also, you have to get all you can out of a ship design you love while it’s your best because it will eventually become unplayable.

I’ve hit the point where I cannot afford to buy a new ship without failing upward through putting my tiny fighters against opponents cruisers. Loosing brings no rewards, so I am at the mercy of a cruel matchmaker for any gains.

The game would be vastly improved if ships were limited to fighting against other ships of their class. This would allow players to progress when the ships they can afford are not equal to their rank and it would encourage players to keep old hulls to continue experimenting with. (I wouldn’t mind buying a few extra ship bays just to keep playing ships I like. Provided there was a reason to.)

  • Good game

I think you should be able to control the ships but otherwise good game.
