Disgustingly predatory mtx

One of the most outrageous micro transaction filled game I have ever seen. Avoid this absolute joke of a game at all costs.

Hello. In-app purchases are totally optional and you can upgrade your abilities and unlock new heroes without paying money though it may take up some time.

Could have been good

If you play enough games you realise how bad the morale star system makes it, as other comments mention. It forces you to play only the most basic luck based strategies, or it could just make you wait ages at the end when you’re winning but your opponent has more stars than you (you outnumber them so they can’t attack you or they’d lose their morale stars, but the stars make it so your superior number mean nothing when attacking). It’s fun when a move goes off but it’s not as good as it could have been, mushroom wars 3 might have been really good.

the chest so a for the comment and I love the game

I love everything about game and I wish I could look forward to the characters personality more and this game can be showing something are needing more details. For example “ biology and story as well history like why are all clans are fighting each other or what the true reason goal leader” like this game should be a showcase show but for to happen is no easy task budget, personality, characters stories, artwork, and lead. I’m not saying this game bad but just need more help I wish I could help sure surcribe and other things but can’t in a age but it wouldn’t be bad to up player’s age maybe I don’t know like girl mushroom there very detailed for my information I’m siping for them my favorite girl is Trini like the old design sure but my mind says something else’s but in beautiful not hot way. Since that said please 🙏 I have a idea what if you take away the chest time and the ads 2x to double the amount of chest if poeple are not patient buy premium so that make all earn chest free plus double earning rewards so wining can be competitive and fun also lower the prices of spending coins to in premium if that it don’t go getting greedy if you all go back where you started please listen.!!!

This is easily one of my top three games

I have been playing this game basically since it first came out like 4-5 years ago. It has changed a lot since then but the core mechanics and gameplay has stayed the same. I have never found another game that delivers so much playability while not getting old or tiresome. You are often challenged above your ability to push you to get better, but that is mixed with much easier enemies to keep it fun and exciting! Your timing and battlefield awareness will be tested to the max with lots of unique challenges and abilities. I really don’t understand why people are complaining about this game. It’s great!
I paid for the single player episodes when I started playing the game and since then I haven’t paid for anything! I’ve gone up against a lot of players that have clearly poured money into this game and sometimes they win and sometimes I win. You don’t have to buy upgrades to be competitive. I’m really amazed by the amount of people saying the developers are greedy or that there’s serious balancing issues. I don’t know what they’re talking about because I play this game almost daily for 5 years and I never get tired of it.

Occasionally Enjoyable

The mechanics of the game are quite good and it is fun to play when evenly matched, however this is rarely the case.

The vast majority of matches are decided by who has the most upgrades, ultimately undermining any skill or strategy deployed.

The player pool drops off a cliff at a certain level, resulting in long queue times and the inevitable match up against an opponent with significantly greater upgrades.

Therefore, if you play enough, you will eventually get to a point where you can’t win unless paying for upgrades.

The UI is insulting to players. If you slightly miss where you try to press, be prepared to accidentally spend your gems or real money. It’s borderline a scam.

It’s a shame where this game has come to, considering how good the original iteration was.

Sadly, it has become a pay to win game

I get there needs to be an economic return for the time and resources invested from the developers. But i think it has become too greedy, you can just buy all the stuff and for a couple hundred dollars you’ll become invencible, im sure is not the fun of the game. Hope it goes to a more balanced game in the future, where you can buy stuff to craft your heros but not everything. I use to play before when it was cool guys. Not anymore after a couple rounds this time

Blood from a stone

This is a masterclass on extracting as much money as possible with fundamentally flawed & unbalanced game systems. Recent updates have made even getting through events (by sabotaging your rating) as much of a grind as the rest of it without huge investments in time and/or money. If they spent half as much time addressing the huge uphill struggle for new players and general game balance this would be a great experience, but I simply cannot warn players (old and new) enough away from this game. It should be chess, instead it’s more akin to checkers ,during an earthquake, with the option to buy more pieces all the while someone screams at you about this great new zombie survival game

To rub salt on the wound, they respond to reviews basically equating to “git gut” while also selling legendary items as an in app purchase called “unequal contest”… Latest two characters are also insanely imbalanced. Play test your game.

Hello. Non premium users can still go toe to toe versus premium players and come out on top - though it might require more effort and experience. To get and edge on stronger players you may ask for advice from more experienced players in Discord https://discord.gg/mw

Addictive

I’ve played this game nearly everyday over the last 14 months. The games are short 1-2 minutes so you can have a quick thrash without being too engaged, however you can easily back 10,20,100 games back to back and wonder were the time has gone. Yes you can spend money if you wish and I have. It isn’t as expensive as some games that I have played. However the difference is that if your good at this game then you can still beat players that have paid, that can’t be said for all games!

Crazy pay to win

I used to love this game, and I have played it alit over the years, but developers have made it virtually impossible to win unless you pay a ridiculous amount for upgrades. A player can get their units to move faster and be stronger and generate new units at a crazy speed, that unless you buy what they called runes, then your gonna lose most your games. It takes ages to collect runes organically.
Needless to say I’m uninstalling the game.

Once great, ruined by predatory company

Zillion Whales. Most predatory company I’ve ever dealt with. First they destroyed the pc version of this, which we paid $20+ for, just to push us over to micro transaction laden mobile version, and put the full functionality I had on pc behind a $2.99 per month pay wall (not terrible, but still wasn’t happy with it). Now they upped that pay wall to $6.99 per month. The product I thought I was getting no longer exists. Regarding the mobile version: I decided to give it a go for quite a while (well over a year). While it had its fun moments, I could never shake the disappointing feeling I’d get after nearly every match. I’d win, get to the results screen, and notice that I vastly out-leveled my opponent (either in level or gear), and I’d feel like I didn’t truly win as it was my level/gear, or I’d lose, get to the results screen, and notice that my opponent vastly out-leveled me, and feel cheated out of a fair match. Now they just continually release new gear to force you to continue to pay to stay competitive—further exacerbating this issue. I really gave this game a chance. I love the gameplay, it’s one of the best concepts for a mobile game I’ve ever seen. But Zillion Whales’ greed has destroyed it. GG Zillion Whales, you ruined an otherwise great game.
