This is terrible don’t waste your money
I thought there would be actual recipes and dietary information. There is nothing helpful about this app. The recipes that appear in the main menu don’t even seem real. They show a picture of soba noodles and carrots and then list the ingredients as enriched macaroni and other items that don’t match the photo. There’s a link to “more recipes” that doesn’t work. When you scan items it has you rate them yourself and the items simply disappear. You can’t even see the nutritional content as is common practice with any other app I have ever used for scanning ingredients. Beyond disappointing!

Beware “free” trial!
Be careful when opening this app, it looks like you’re clicking a free trial button but it charges you $50 immediately which is non-refundable! And because I instantly unsubscribed it now won’t even let me use the extended app for the “trial period” I just paid $50 for. There are no account/options/settings menus or even a support button, so I don’t even have a way to contact them and request back what was my only money for the next week... no idea how I’m going to eat, vegan or otherwise, until next pay now. So much distress caused by accidentally pressing a button, so not worth it.

Free Trial. 50$ Later
Clicked free trial button. 50$ later I have an app I didn’t even want to pay for. Beyond annoyed and frustrated! Argh!
Be careful of being charged without consent
I was charged for their recipe program without being asked in the app. I don’t even cook because my partner does and they charged me for services. I just wanted to scan items while grocery shopping and that doesn’t even work well. It made me tell it everything that was vegan or not rather than it telling me. This app is not worth the time as well as the money they steal from your pocket.

Limited data base. Subscription required. Much better options out there!
There is no free trial.
When you download the app it asks if you would like a free trial, I agreed and have since been charged £30 for an app I have not used once. There is no way to resolve this other than doing a chargeback with my bank, no settings or account details on the app itself. No email sent to confirm tour subscription other than the one sent by apple stating I have been charged which leaves no proof that I agreed to a free trial in the first place...very sneaky indeed. Would avoid this app as much as possible, after having a look at the other reviews I’m disappointed I was lured in in the first place.

Not what i expected. Rubbish!
I understand having to pay for the service, but WE’RE BUILDING THE DATABASE FOR YOU!
The app doesn’t factcheck, it just bases it off peoples opinions of whether or not it’s vegan. Every item i’ve scanned hasn’t been on the app so i’ve had to check myself and then i’ve been so kind as to give the app details of the product and whether or not it is vegan.
Why should i pay if firstly nothing i scan is in the database and secondly i’m helping you build the database? Either pay me to help you, or give free months as a reward for inputting x amount of products.

Free trial wasn’t free
I started the seven day free trial and when the app didn’t do what I needed, I cancelled the subscription that same day. I then notice I get charged for the app two days later, not even seven. I tried requesting a refund because there shouldn’t have been a charge to begin with. But apparently an error not on my end wasn’t reason enough. So $30 for an app that I used for at most five minutes and cancelled the free trial (I would say) well in advance.

Garbage
If you want to use the free version, don’t bother. The app claims you can use it but in practice it won’t actually let you. It claims to give you a free scan per hour but the app glitches out when you bring up the scanner, kicks you out, and when you bring it back up it tells you that you’ve used your one free scan for the hour - come back in 60 minutes. Basically pay $20 or don’t use it.

Conned into a free trial (read T&C’s) clicked the free trial button and was charged £20 for a yearly subscription. App developer details aren’t available through the app or online so I feel it is a complete and utter con. Was interested in trying the app and would have probably paid the £20 but don’t like being conned out of money when I try a free trial to see if the app will work for me. All of the above including the fact the app is purely based on people’s opinions on whether a food is vegan! So totally rubbish all round. Avoid.
