  • The update is fantastic!

This is one of the first ASL apps I downloaded years ago, it was okay but not great, there weren’t descriptions for signs so if you were looking up the word ‘right’ you had to guess which sign was for the direction and which one meant correct. But the update looks amazing and I really look forward to going through the new features and using this app more. I’m specifically excited about the topics, and the ‘grammar’ section, so few apps teach about the different grammar in ASL so I’m really excited that they added it.

  • Love this app

Amazing app for learning ASL!!!! The update looks great, but I really miss the quizzing functions and when the app could give you a random sign from the dictionary. It was a really fun and effective way to review!

Oh and please make the gifs loop again the buttons are a real pain and they’re kind of buggy.

  • From Good To Great

I started using this app about a year ago to help me learn more ASL vocabulary so I could talk with the deaf students I drive to/from school. It started off looking a bit like a back alley knockoff of something, but even then it did exactly what I needed it to do and did it reliably. Since this update, it has had a huge facelift and added features that give the app even more value as a learning tool. I highly recommend getting this app if you want to learn ASL and/or improve your vocabulary.

  • Great! But, missing something

Each time I go into the app and look up a new sign I desperately want to be able to save it onto a playlist of others signs to categorize them into my own labeled stacks. Having a collection of sign to study then adding slowly onto them is how I feel learning is most effective and would make the process a lot easier. If it could be done it would make my life and anyone who’s learning life’s a lil easier.

  • It’d be great if I could use it

I’ve been recommended this app by friends, and have tried to download it multiple times. Every time, I get an opener white screen that says my “data is loading,” that never actually finishes loading. It stays like that. I’ve timed it and the longest it’s been before I lost my patience and deleted it was a whole thirty minutes of the same inaccessible white screen. Bummer.
  • This app is okay.

I just feel like this app is missing something. It took a little while to load and I wish it was quicker. I also wish this app DESCRIBED the motions.
  • Good app for kids and up

I really like this app, because I barely knew sign language and I was using this app and it helped me learn all the letters and numbers under 20 minutes.
    - appreciate it

  • Very Helpful

The dictionary has been a lifesaver as I navigate ASL class. ASL can be difficult to translate sometimes, there are no tools like Google translate for an unspoken language, but this app is a very helpful substitute to that technology.
  • Not helpful for beginners-intermediates

This app only gives you the option to tab through videos of completely random signs, most of which are things I do NOT need to know in the basics. I got words like "orbit" and "Nevada". The topics page is completely blank, so you can't look through things like days or states or greetings, it's pretty much plain luck on whatever sign it decides to show you.
  • Great, wish there was a even slower slow mo

Wish some of the videos could go a little slower. There’s a couple of people from the videos that even when I click slow-mo, they move a little too fast so I can’t see proper finger placement. Otherwise great
