App not working

I downloaded the app which asked me to upload Facebook friends?? Why?? And then it just froze. Can’t get it to work.

Unreliable

I got a different skin tone and different match products every time I took a different photo. Waste of 99p.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties! Please be sure to follow the Selfie instructions.

Good idea, bad software

I saw a review of this app online, so I thought it would work, but it’s really clumsy. If you can manage to get a selfie submitted, the color picking software is really, really off. I’m very pale with a pink undertone to my skin, I took a selfie in a well lit room, and it kept trying to tell me my skin was a shade of yellow that you might get if your liver was failing. Very weird, and when I tried swatching my wrists or my collarbones to see if that would work, it got even worse. It’s only a dollar, but given that I can do a better job color matching myself, it’s not worth it.

Waste of money

Poor app

I bought this app because I read about it in a magazine or somewhere and I thought wow that’s what I need I always have a hard time picking the right skin shade. I thought since you have to pay for this app it must be good. I was wrong. First of all, technically, the app is slow and takes a long time to load after you click something. The pictures of products are so small, browsing feels like a hassel. When I uploaded or took a selfie of myself to get the shade match, it scrunched the picture down and stretched it horizontally so it looked like a fun house mirror. The picture is also quite small and you cannot zoom in, making it very difficult to get an accurate tap on your skin. It was terrible. But most of all, my shade matches were quite inaccurate. My skin I would say is fair, example would be like Miranda Kerr’s tone. The shade matches were rarely correct. One tap on my selfie, and it says I’m medium, which I definitely am not. Another tap in the same area as the first one, and it says I’m an 100 in Fenty beauty’s concealer, which is the absolute lightest shade, literally for very pale, almost snow white skin. I actually have tried that one in real life and it is WAY too pale for me. I’m actually a 140. Not 100. Way off. All this shade matching did nothing but tell me which shades I am not. I was very disappointed, especially considering that I paid for this app. The technical functioning of it is very unpolished and actually ruins the functioning of the shade matching. And the matches aren’t even right. Waste of money. Save your money.

Can’t login

Facebook connector doesn’t work and neither does creating a login manually. Created 2 logins and neither work - keeps saying my login info is incorrect. Losing $0.99 isn’t a lot, but still a bummer.

Don’t bother

Waste of money

Does NOT work

Has issues uploading or taking photos. When you get one to load, selecting areas makes it wildly change the recommended color. It recommended everything from Fenty shade 100 to 220. 100 is extremely pale and lighter than many foundations even go to and 220 is at least medium/caramel colored and obviously too dark. What a waste.

Waste of time & money

Sloppy, amateurish interface and bugs galore! Many of the things I clicked on refused to do open/launch. Having now seen what this app ACTUALLY is, I’ve determined this it is utterly worthless and did nothing to help me find a foundation! Here’s how it works: After uploading your selfie, they will basically shuffle you (and EVERYONE else!) to the same bunch of products. As you navigate your way through the so-called “matches”, it becomes increasingly obvious that these brands have paid to be promoted on this crummy app. Because most cosmetics brands wisely steered clear of the affiliation with this inferior app, the choices were woefully few. I feel like I basically spent a buck to be led on a wild goose chase. The matching feature amounts to little more than a short list of aforementioned advertised products...except that most advertisers typically proofread their copy in order to avoid the cringeworthy grammar we see in the “articles” (written by the Slapp staffers, no doubt). Please, Slappers, learn how to properly punctuate! You, don’t, need, to, put, commas, between, every, effing, word! Annoy, ing!

Do not waste your 99p!

Extremely poor performance for this app. In trying to get a second colour match, the timer just kept going round and round. Initial colour match produced 3 foundation choices, none of which I was able to get the colour of due to the fact that tapping the wording underneath didn’t do anything. Deleted it now.
