In app purchase no longer available. Only reason for 1 star, otherwise 5 stars.

I purchased the game Clue November 13, 2020, and did an in app purchase of the Sherlock theme bundle April 9, 2022. I noticed a while back that I no longer have access to the Sherlock theme bundle — in order to play I have to purchase it again.

I clicked Restore Purchases under Settings several times on different days to no avail. Even though it tells me that “purchases are successfully restored,” it is not. I also delete and redownloaded the app, nothing. After redownloading I clicked restore purchases, nothing. I reported it as a problem, nothing, no reply from anyone.

Please have my purchase restored. If you need proof of purchase, I have that of both the game and the bundle.

J’avais acheté un pack de personnages et je ne peux plus les utilisés .
Le jeu me montre que je possède l’article du pack mais que je dois payer pour le personnage … c’est un peu du gaspillage .
J’avais aussi accès a la map classique avec ce pack & je ne peux plus jouer dessus …

PLEASE DO NOT BUY!!!

I have never made a review for an app before, but I don't want anyone to have to go through what I have. I bought this and the other Clue app after really enjoying the Apple Arcade version for many months. This is the second time I have ever spent money to get an app in my entire life and I did so after much consideration because I love Clue *that much*.

However, unlike the Apple Arcade version, virtually everything in this game is behind a GIGANTIC PAYWALL! To unlock one other map, it's currently $7-$9 USD!! To unlock all the characters, it's $70 but "on sale" for $35! I've never heard of such a predatory app in my entire life! You only get the default map and characters and it gets extremely boring and repetitive very quickly. It just isn't worth your money and if you truly love Clue, I recommend just getting Apple Arcade instead and using that version. I feel so scammed and defeated and I don't want anyone else to go through this. It's such a fun game and the graphics are beautiful, but in my opinion there is no game on earth worth this type of money.

Do NOT waste your money on this game…

I wish I would have thoroughly read the reviews on this game BEFORE spending money on it…
I bought this game solely to be able to play with my family now that we all live in different cities and states, but it NEVER WORKS for us!! I have YET to play a game to the end because the app WILL freeze while you’re on the play with friends option - which, again, is the ONLY reason I bought this app is because it advertises that you can play with friends. We have even been reaching out to the company several times over the past few months and reported the issue to give them chances to fix it, just to constantly be told they’re “sorry” and that they will “forward my email to the team” so that updates can be made. They have had ONE app update in the last 3 months, and it did not fix anything! We have since emailed stating that if they are unable to fix the problem then we would like our money back, and again we received the same basic response to make it look like they care about this issue when it’s obvious now that they don’t. Why would they care to fix the issue when you already gave them your money?

Keeps freezing!!!

I have had this game for a few days now and have been actively playing everyday, I have found myself frustrated when it freezes mid game on the play with friends mode. Once it freezes you back out of the game you can not continue and have to restart. Now I am on single player mode playing I used the block hint on my last turn knowing the computer is getting close to the answer, a few people later it prompts me to use it. I can’t click it because I’ve already used it now it won’t let me click anything else making me back out and restart. For a game I’ve paid for and bought extra boards for I find this not worth my money to not be able to finish the game THAT I PAID FOR! If it was actually working all the time this would be a fun game. I will not be buying anymore boards after this.

Could be 10/10

I love this game.. I've played it for years. But I've had one primary complaint in all the time I've been playing it that I just can't understand why there hasn't been a solution yet. I always play the online version with random opponents.. The game pauses when a player navigates away from the app. The game doesn't tell you what's going on.. it doesn't boot the inactive player after any amount of time.. and the actual active players are left to just sit and stare at a game that WILL NOT PROGRESS. This is SO FRUSTRATING. Especially when you're already multiple rounds into a game, then you sit there for 10 minutes waiting for the game to unpause, and you're forced to quit. It's such a waste of time.

Online play still has computers

I love this game and play it often, but I recently discovered that half the time you are playing “online” with people, it is actually just computers playing instead. You can tell because at the end if they get it right, when no one has a card to show, they will not make an accusation, and then the game just continues until it’s your turn and you “win” because you now know all 3 cards. I can also tell when I go into a game lobby and then go out, then go back into another theme and it’s the same usernames in each different theme lobby. Just really disappointing and also makes it way less fun. Please fix this issue. I would rather wait for real people to play with instead of just a bunch of fake computers on “online” play.

Needs Pause Function & See Notes in Post Game

Fun game, but in dire need of Pause ability for when you’re playing with family & friends and need to pause the game to attend other apps or matters-at-hand, or play the game as players have time. The way it stands now, the entire game is lost if any one player is interrupted by another app or “timed out”. It wouldn’t bother us if it took an entire week to play a game by pausing it as necessary. Just add a notification for when it’s your turn to move. We don’t always have time to sit down and play a full game start-to-finish. We’d just like to finish the ones we start.

Also needs ability to see Notes after the game is over. That would increase the joy level tenfold.
