Latest update broke arena, can’t get to app support

Support site has a cert issue and latest update broke arena matching, get to 9/10 and still don’t get into the arena. It kicks me from the queue after a period of time. I tried to contact app support but can’t even get to the site, get warning this site has invalid cert and could be fake site. Please fix!

This game is broken.

Just want to take a moment to update my review now that, six years after my initial review, the developer has responded with a very timely (that means it took a lot of time, right?) and detailed response. Very happy to change it from two stars to an amount of stars that more accurately reflects the efforts the dev team puts into responding to concerns.

I’ve been playing this game for a few months now, and it’s a pretty good time waster. However, it is 100% pay to win. If you’re not willing to fork over money (bare minimum for a premium account and the goblin, which I have done), you’re not going to get anywhere. Everything you need to build is too expensive and takes way too long. It can take days to save up to build a single room. The combat is completely broken. I’ve unlocked every map, so I usually have around 14 people to attack, and usually maybe attack one of them. Every single other person is hundreds of thousands of attack points above me, and I’ll waste all of my food trying to change them to someone I can attack. Because of this, you can’t build up money to buy things to make yourself better to be able to fight them. Such a good idea, a really fun game early on, but once you hit a certain point (level 25+), the game breaks and you basically can’t pay it unless you pay. The latest “sale” is giving a discount on some stuff from ~$1100 to $150 - that’s not a sale, that’s a rip off.

Not as advertised

App isn’t as advertised and the preview pics are also very misleading. Which is a shame as it is an ok game if you still stick around to play.
However, the ad issues seem to have re appeared, the ads take ages to actually load, cause the game to close at times and if they do play, 40% of the time you don’t actually get the reward for watching the thing.

App isn’t as advertised and the preview pics are also very misleading. Which is a shame as it is an ok game if you still stick around to play.
The ad issues seem to have been fixed, but the developers introduced a way of paying to be ad free for a given period of time which would be great if they offered it as an option in the current offers! My husband has had the offer twice and paid for it each time! I’m still waiting for the stupid offer to actually appear to me. I’ve searched the marketplace and internet and can’t find where to find this elusive advert free option!

WARNING, app isn’t as advertised and the preview pics are also very misleading. Which is a shame as it is an ok game if you still stick around to play.
The ads played within this game also seem to cause it a lot of issues with crashes or freezing.

Fun game, prepare to spend real money to get to the top

Great game, fun to play but the poster child of pay to win.

During events you literally cannot get the top prize unless you pay real money to buy a “ticket” to enter.

Devolved into a kind of clickbait game.

This game used to be really good in my opinion, I started in 2020 or 2019, and my playtime peaked in 2021. It all went downhill from there. I took a break, realized it got deleted, didn't bother to re download it in late 2021 - early 2022. I can confirm that in my 2+ year playtime, I have only seen the content on the ads in the game ONCE. I remembered the memories I made with this game a few years ago, and instantly got excited to download it again. When it finally downloaded, I got into the game. I was shocked to see that all of my data was WIPED. (And yes, I did sign in.) This game was already very pay to win then with enough problems, but I realized it turned into a clickbait game? This game got way worse than it needed to be. Back then, I got to a pretty respectable point in the game, especially with the fact that I was completely free to play with not a single penny spent on this game. I'm surprised I even progressed back then, because the odds were stacked against me in every way. I had barely a few gems when you could buy a bunch for like a dollar. I even remember writing a review in early 2021 to make it less pay to win. I used to really like this game, I really did. I always came back to it. But when I take a break for only a few weeks, my data gets wiped? Disappointing for a game that I gave tens of hours, maybe even a hundred.

Algorithm is messed up.

The algorithm needs to be reset. Can’t win any tournament battles because I’m up against guys who throw in one fighter as strong as my whole squad with a bunch of chefs. Now those guys are ruining gem bay and lighthouse too. Even all the castles in my land are 20M might stronger than me.

Otherwise it’s a fun game. Just don’t let cash players make it unplayable for the rest of us 🙂

Fake ads ( do you really need them ), delete this game now

I’ve seen plenty of the same old ads about a man who gets some power number and every time he defeats an enemy he gets more and more power. But then you play the game and it’s totally different. Why do you do that, you most likely get less sales because of this and the interest of the game last until you download it. And people are voting 5 stars to this game and yet they don’t realise that what they wanted and got informed from ads was the thing that like and they got a game they didn’t want. I’m not writing this for the developers but more for the people. Also one more thing, I’ve never seen the developers read and reply so you guys never listen so recommend anyone who has read it this to never play this game! 🙏 for your own gaming sake

Wrong direction

As a long time player, I have enjoyed playing the game and have spent countless hours building and creating a great squad. I’ve found several clans where I have made some great friends along the way. There have been aspects of the game that I e found frustrating (especially arena) but I just don’t participate in them and I’ve been able to enjoy the rest of the game. In the last several months, they have been bringing out so much new stuff that it’s becoming more and more of a burden to play.

Now, they have rolled out Titans. What are Greek mythology creatures doing in a medieval castle you ask? Well, I’m wondering the same thing. They are overly complicated and at this point have no impact on the rest of the game. But apparently this will be required in order to remain competitive, but only if they are the highest class. Grinding and farming are nearly impossible even on the “easy” setting.

This was a fun game to sit back and relax with. It was enjoyable and fun. Now it’s a chore and feels like a second job. Only difference is that a job pays you. I’ve stuck around and continued to play because I enjoy the friends I’ve developed in the game, but that will only last so long. When are the devs going to realize that they are destroying their own creation? Just sad to see it dying
