  • The best IOS board game out there! 10/10

I love this game sooo much. I wasn’t really a fan of board games to begin with but I think this might be the game that changed that mindset. I think that it’s pretty cool how this game offers multiple routes to win , often times unexpectedly. There’s a lot of strategy to go with this game and the different abilities gives each character such a unique play style. I would just like to ask about the choice to remove the fog because it can act as an unnecessary aspect that drains your battery. And I was wondering if the IOS version could have a chance to get some of the dice skin chests from PC for a limited time? 10/10

  • Unique style, beautiful art work, but it needs a few more things!

The artwork and animation is what drew me in because you don’t come across many games live action rpg with anthropomorphic animals. I’ve been enjoying the game And the prologue got me really excited but, after I finished the prologue I feel like I’m not going off much of a story now and I’m really story driven. I feel like I get a lot of the same quests in each of the games when I play as Sana so I think more quests should be added. It would also be cool to see a coyote character who is a falconer and have card packs almost similar to Hearthstone where you can individualize decks. :D

  • An iPhone must play!

Well... a bit over exaggerating here for a four star review.

I love Armello and I love things on-the-go. When I saw this game on the App Store, It was pretty much impulsive of me to download it. I remember the PC version of the game being shockingly beautiful, despite me owning a computer that runs it at 20 and below. The basic story was very engaging from the start, and the gameplay was relatively easy to understand, albeit challenging to master. I wanted to invest my time and money to what this game had to offer in terms of DLC characters, dice and cosmetics

The mobile version is a whole new can of cola, however. You get a wickedly smooth frame rate, 60 FPS I assume can be the minimum, and even more glorious aesthetic detail. Almost as if you’re actually looking down on a tiny world and that world happens to have creatures in literal and political war with each other.

I'm so glad that you like the look of the world. Thanks for playing.
  • If you liked it before, you’ll love it now

I can’t describe how pleased I am to see this moved to the iOS. I can’t think of a game more fun or fitting for it.

Let me say this is worth your time. There aren’t obtrusive ads popping nag up every ten seconds trying to get your money, there’s no waiting three hours to build something but you could rush it for ‘x’ amount of cash. It’s just a game. A well thought out, very involved and crazy game.

I will say the only draw back is starting. Even though the tutorial gives you a great deal of help, there’s just no real getting the hang of it until you okay it a time or ten. If you have any fun with strategy games, it’s worth sticking it out on this one though. Beautiful style, sound, graphics, story. What else could you want in a game?

  • I love this game!

I’m a huge fan of tabletop games! And when I found this one on PSN, I was ecstatic! Then I found out it was coming to mobile, and I couldn’t be more excited! This is such a fun and innovative game. I can’t put it down.
I’m currently writing this review after being on a 6 game win streak (half of which were rot victories.)
There are only a couple of minor bugs, but nothing too game breaking. I had one where someone DC’d right before a fight and nothing loaded after that.
Otherwise, if you want a fun, immersive, and challenging tabletop experience on mobile, download this game! You won’t regret it!

  • App gives error that device isn’t supported but app store says it is

I’ve played Armello on Pc and went to try it on my iPad but attempting to run it gives an error that my device is not supported and to check the app store. However the app store says my device is compatible with the game.

Obviously I can’t recommend an app that can’t even reliably agree with its page on what the requirements are to run it. Hopefully this will eventually get fixed since the PC version was otherwise pretty good.

Update: Just briefly responding to the developer reply, I completely understand that not every device will always be supported for every app. However shifting the blame to Apple for the app’s store page device filter saying that the app is compatible is something the developers need to handle with Apple. Simply put if the filter says it is compatible and allows you to buy and install a game then the game should work, period. No qualifiers, no footnotes, no ifs ands or buts. It’s an important safeguard to prevent consumers from purchasing things that don’t work.

So I won’t change my rating until either the developers update their store page filter to not allow the game to be installed on devices the app doesn’t support or they need to support the devices they set the page to allow users buy and install it. I simply can’t give anything above one star to apps that can be purchased and installed but which don’t run no matter what the rationale.

Apologies that we don't support your devices. So basically, as developers we don't have the power to alter/throttle who can and cannot download the app like Apple can. Instead we've had to implement our own device limitations as specified in our own description in the store page. We do this because we know that Armello is already a beefy game for the newer models, we just can't guarantee that it'll work on older ones. In fact in most of these models, it just straight up doesn't work at all. It sucks that you have to go through the process of downloading the app before getting this information, we just don't have a better way to communicate this at this time.
  • A Board Game with Depth

    This is one of the better board games I've seen for IOS! It handles smoothly and the possibilities are quite endless! I've introduced it to many of my friends! A few points of feedback;

-there should be a full out zoom for the camera, where I can see everything (without the clouds).
-on that note, their should be an option for the camera (when it's not your turn) to stay stable and only move when you move it. It can be quite annoying when you want to look at your next possible moves before your turn but the camera keeps pulling you back to something else.
-more info in your guide! Particularly on things like Wit and Spirit, etc.. I believe their use is described in the tutorial, but the tutorial on its own was so complex that I forgot most but the basics; I had to look up what Wits did on the Wikia article for the game.
-the chests should feel more rewarding than just dice, i don't know. I don't care much for the dice.

I think most of the problems stated from myself and others can be easily fixed. When these are addressed, I believe it will get the higher rating it deserves

  • Overview (Tutorial Review)

I like the game so far just from the tutorial, it’s complex, but not too hard. From looking at the starting screen after the tutorial, there is a multiplayer, which many games don’t have a multiplayer for four. Also with it’s diverse characters and routes to win, I feel like I would play this game for a while. However, I just do wish there would be better camera manipulation, cause some cards rely on the map, and the map would just zoom out to the clouds, not really allowing an overview of the map. Other than the camera, I do like this game, maybe this game is easier on the computer, but I would like to try the mobile one since it’s free compared to the computer’s version of 20 dollars.

Edit: I brought the game review down from a four star to a three star due to the game not loading, and I would need to redownload the game to fix the issue

  • Perfect On the Go Game

I have been playing Armello for a few years on the PS4, it is perfectly suited for iOS and on the go gaming. It is an outstanding digital board game that is easy to pick up and hard to master. Whether you are playing single player (my predominant choice) or multiplayer, each game feels different and unique. The art direction and world building is wonderful.
I usually complain about freemium games, but the main content for free is robust and enjoyable. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for the new characters or DLC packs since there was no upfront cost to try it out. The new characters, quests and board skins object a bit of a new flavor into the game. I look forward to sinking many hours into this.

  • Finally, a game that’s not garbage megapixel game!

Finally, someone that isn’t spitting out garbage games that make you want an idiot Atari machine. Every game on the AppStore these days is either 1 megapixel or some stupid building game. I just played it for the first time today and I was totally immersed! You feel like your in the game and kinda like a choose your fate gamebook. I would give this 5 stars if were available without an internet connection. That’s the only thing I am complaining about. Every (and I mean every) aspect of this game is awesome other than internet. What an awesome game! Good going for not following the 1 megapixel and building games!
