  • Need Layers

Unlike other apps by BrainFeverMedia, DepthEffects lacks ability to add layers.
  • Unusable

The unresponsiveness of this app is a complete disgrace.

    Developer Response

We're looking into what is causing slowdowns and working on speeding up responsiveness. Thanks
  • Waste of money

Doesn't work properly, controls are not responsive.
  • Lovely and unique blurs

A creative way to work with blurs...
  • Can I return this app?

All actions are very delayed, making it hard to play around and make edits.
  • Absolutely Stunning!

Took all of 60 seconds to fall in love with this app. Amazingly simple to use but your photos come out looking like they took hours. You get blurs, flares, glares and a handful of filters that all work together and the control to adjust them gives you the freedom to blend them into any stule of photo you may shoot.

  • Love how this can update your non iPhone 7

It appears to me that the portrait mode on the iPhone 7 is based off software and not just the lenses. Having said that this app really gives you what the iPhone 7 does and gives you nice port mode type photos. Hats off to the developers on this great app. BrainFever apps are always top notch. Keep up the great work.

  • Love it

Awesome application. Would prefer that there's no Advertisement on the menu regarding your other application since I also have them already.
  • App crashing on launch

Just purchased. App crashes on launch.
  • Brilliant blur effect, easy to use app

**Update: 👏👏 the developer has made this app much easier to use, helping me to get some amazing blur effects. This isn't the typical blur slapped onto so many pics!**

I think I've bought all of this deceloper's apps. And they've been consistently good, some are truly excellent. This one has potential, but it's by far the buggiest I've seen from them.

The blur effect here is unmatched in terms of quality. But defining the blur areas is just a mess. So many apps, like Snapseed, get this basic part right it seems like a no-brainer. Where are guide lines? Where is the scalability of the blur area? Why does the blur area shift so drastically once I change the aperture type? This can cause the blur area to become so disoriented that I have to start over, or freezing happens and I have to crash the app altogether.

On the other hand, the options under the filter menu are great. Very handy. I only wish the vignetting wasn't so amateurish. Adobe's Lightroom has great vignetting possibilities. Can the blur and vignetting be combined somehow?

Overall, I've used the app and got some great results. Once issues like those above are addressed, getting good results will be easier.
