Unrealistic
As other reviews have said, the AI player always has the upper hand. In real life it’s typical for a player to draw three or fewer cards and knock or gin maybe once in a while. That happens regularly with this game to the point that it defeats the purpose of playing. When I get to draw fewer than 5 cards in an entire game before the AI wins, it’s a waste of my time. It seems that the designers decided that the only way to make the game more challenging is to give the AI every card it needs and me almost none that I need but that’s not how it works in real life. The game needs to be made more realistic to be worth buying so save your money.Show lessGrrrowler
Developers don’t know rules
Apparently you can’t adjust your cards while opponent’s turn - who knew? So if they knock before you’ve had a go, you get charged deadwood for cards that would be in a set! Clueless!
And who wants to play only to 50? The best players don’t win, if computer has decided you’re going on a losing run - that’s it - even if you’ve been playing immaculate cards!
There is no ‘new AI’ as mentioned, the best cards simply get given to the player due to win, which is made clear after the first hand. That’s it!
Get rid of bias, learn the rules and play online up to 100 at the very least!Show lessDanPho

Cheats
I enjoy the visuals in this game but refuse to pay for ads to go away because the way the electronic opponent wins is totally unrealistic. On multiple occasions on the same day I didn’t even get a turn as opponent knocked on its first move. Also opponent always has a fair amount of cards of high value to play off of mine when I knock and I almost never have anything to play off of its cards when it knocks, even if I don’t have a single meld. This is not a good player, it is a cheating player. I’ve been playing this game a long time and keep waiting for improvements but have yet to see any. I’m about to delete it.Show lessshiggybythebay
The Challenge of Expert Oklahoma
I love gin, and I readily thumped the AI Except for the expert mode in the Oklahoma version. I manage to beat the AI in 50% of games, so I enjoy the challenge. I do wonder if the AI could be made even better by learning from the patterns in my play and mixing its (somewhat predicatable) strategy up from time to time.Show lessProsilire

When playing against the computer in online games it seems unfair. The computer keeps knocking super quick and sometimes I don’t even get a turn and it knocks and wins. I know it’s suppose to be a random card shuffle but it sure feels like the computer always gets a killer awesome hand so I hate playing against the computer in online game. Big unrepaired flaw
I’m an expert level gin rummy player and, as much as I like this app, it’s been at least two years that I reported that, while the player isn’t allowed to immediately discard a card drawn from the discard pile, computer does it frequently. In a game I played a few days ago, computer did this 3 draws in succession. I’ve reported this issue a least twice, yet they haven’t fixed it in the years I’ve reported it repeatedly.Show lessAbsol00dle
