  • Difficult to register the air handlers

    I find it difficult to hook them up to your WiFi when you follow the normal and alternate ways as instructed. It does not happen promptly and you have to wait or keep on trying over and over again. I wonder if it will hook with the WiFi via WPS button while the air handler is in the ready mode to hook. Other than that, the app is easy to use and give you the ability to change settings and not just on and off and the mode.

  • Good just a tad bit slow

    Every function works for me well so in the practicality for it it’s perfect. The only thing is the ui and menu changes to each AC is just a tad bit slow not worst it’s not like I’m sitting there for 5 minutes but it’s still just a small enough delay to be just a tad bit annoyed. But other than that it’s perfect essentially.

  • Works for my needs

    This is what I have at the lake house. I can adjust the temperature before I arrive. I can change it after I leave if I forget. Never had any issues unless the internet is down and I just have to wait for it to come back up. Sure more features would be awesome but it works for me.
  • Outdated IT infrastructure

    The company should hire a better programmer to design the app or overhaul the entire design. The interface is terrible. I'm using the app to control 2 AC units in my apartment via wifi, and the fact that it forces me to create an account just for that is so unnecessary. Not to mention, the app still doesn't have the iOS widget feature support for quick access.

  • App Should Be User Friendly

    Some Apps are created by engineers for engineers. The problem with this App is that it isn’t User Friendly to the general consumer. Very happy with our Mini Split unit but the fact that the factory auto programs it to go on at a certain time and off was annoying. Still for the life of me cannot figure out the best way to disable the T-On/Off feature on the remote. You would think that the App would allow you to do everything in Settings but that is not the case.

  • Avoid this brand of Mini Split System’s

    Imagine equipment failure horrors then triple it. I am on my 3rd and last set of equipment because after replacing my system for a 3rd time I was informed they would no longer honor any warranty claims. Mind you the 3 system replacement claims were within the first 3 years. The 3rd & currently installed for past 5 years and should still be fully under warranty. The electric into the inverter & out to the inside units was completely redesigned on last system compared to the first two. The app is horrible as well. While it works using pics reverts to Chinese a lot.

  • So many issues

    This is a review only for the app. The Gree mini split system has been working fine for over two years.

    There are really two types of problems with this app. One is the user interface is just terrible. The user interface has you doing all kinds of things to do very very simple things. For example, if you want to adjust the louvers to spread the arrow across the room that requires looking into additional menus at the bottom and playing around with four buttons on the bottom, which are not intuitive. The biggest headache is that if you use the standard IR remote to set temperature or fan, speed or pretty much anything when you start to use the app, it resets all of this vice versa when you use the iPhone to set this settings on this app, when you then go to the wall mounted remote, it resets all the settings again very frustrating. Gree needs to update this app so it comes into the 21st-century, the design and also the controls need to be adjusted so they can be easier to use and create better functionality for what is typically a good mini split system

  • Always getting stuck on the done button

    Everything reboots and works just fine it connects and all is good after you’re done configuring your device you name it and you choose the room but then you cannot proceed because after you press done, no action happens whatsoever even if you close the app and open it again. The connection is lost and you have to do it all over again, which is pointless because it doesn’t work anyway

  • Not easy to use

    As a non-techy, I find almost everything about our Gree mini-split unit to be difficult. The physical remote that came with the unit is absolutely a nightmare, and I hoped this app would be more intuitive. It isn’t. I push buttons or tap icons and nothing happens. It beeps, but it doesn’t turn on.
    We’re freezing in our home because it is not at all clear how to simply turn on the heat. Had the same problem last summer with the A/C.

    Sorry I bought this unit now, honestly. The folks who designed the remote and the app clearly have no regard for anyone who isn’t a tech whiz. Please incorporate an idiot like me for your next attempt.

  • Terrible App

    The review is for the app. The appliance itself works great! The app on the other hand, I agree- why offer the use of the app if they are not going to keep up with the performance of it? The idea is great, I can program it for certain times, I can turn it on and off, and program it away from home. The problem is- it constantly logs me off and somehow the account is not “binded” as it states. At times, the appliances do disappear in the app but I just refresh a few times until
    they show up. Sometimes I’m stuck having to use the remote which does throw off the connection to the app and the programming you had for it. The app certainly needs work and much better updates. I will say- it works well with Alexa. Sometimes the connection also gets lost but not for long. Overall, the app doesn’t function well but the appliance thus far I am happy with.
