  • Update broke functionality

    Updated to the last version and it completely broke the functionality of managing my concealed acs through app, previously the U-match devices appeared fine and were working as expected, after the updated the have disappeared now I can only see a single icon with an arrow pointing down and the number of devices I have, when i press it shows as if its downloading something and upon completion says “3019 plugin is downloaded” but nothing changes and the devices dont show up. I have tried to pair the u-match devices again but nothing is fixed and same display and behavior.

    Please fix asap as the previous version was working fine

  • Gree has NO IDEA how to maintain an App or what downward compatibility is

    Well, once again, in less than one month, Gree has crapped the bed. They have killed the new accounts they forced us to set up last month. Now we have to go back to our old accounts , except our HVAC units are NO LONGER REGISTERED THERE!!! This means you have to go register them. ALL of them. AGAIN. And some of our units are 800 plus km away so we have no access !!!!!!

    I wish there were a way to set these up in Smart Life and do away with Gree’s crap app.

    Ya screwed the pooch again Gree. Zero Stars.

    Well, once again, Gree has screwed up this app. Every single time they do an update they break something or destroy some sort of downward compatibility. This time they have uninstalled our air conditioners with their new email based user accounts. This wouldn’t be a problem EXCEPT OUR AC UNITS ARE 800 km away and unreachable.

    This is just POOR DESIGN AMND MAINTENANCE ON YOUR APP! I’m going to see if I can find a different app to use also one that doesn’t require an email address and Lord knows what sort of spying they’re doing.

    And while we’re on the subject Gree offers NO SUPPORT FOR END USERS. NONE - you can’t order parts, you can’t talk to tech-support. Zero. Nada.

  • Very primitive and clunky app

    This app doesn’t do much, and what it does do, it doesn’t do well. Most aggravating is that it randomly locks me out, and in order to get in again I must login and provide a password - ok fair enough I guess - but it also asks for a region, as if my house with the system installed might move continents. But then it still won’t let me in until I check the box that says I’ve read and understand the user agreement. EXCEPT THERE IS. NO. BOX.

  • HOW DO I KNOW ITS COOLING WHEN AWAY?

    PLEASE display the ambient temp reading from the mini-split thermostat to the Gree app, as well as the outdoor temperature as read by the condenser thermostat or a weather service. These temperatures will provide more insight into the unit’s overall health and functional capacity, along with cooling/heating predictability.

    EXAMPLES:

    A: I had an F0 error (low refrigerant) error twice in the past. I might have sealed the leaking connector long before the F0. The app doesn’t display or notify me of this error. Why not?

    B: With two units, it would be easier to troubleshoot whether cooling limitations in one room were due to condensor, mini split, refrigerant, high outside temps, or poor room insulation.

    C: I remotely set my garage Gree to 77 F. My wife wants to know when its’s cool enough to go out in garage. But currently I cannot give her an answer. Who do you think she mad at : 1. ME or 2. GREE? If you guessed #1, you are correct.

    D: I have a NEST and 2 ECOBEE thermostats on my 3 home HVACS. Both of their apps include this information. I wish GREE did the same thing.

    BASIC/ADVANCED:

    I believe that the majority of Gree owners would appreciate this info. If I’m wrong, then please add an ADVANCED/BASIC option anyway for the minority, because we will appreciate it.

  • Works fine while it works…

    This app is constantly getting disconnected, and the AC units become disconnected and are said to be off-line. I have to go through the whole process of resetting the Wi-Fi unit and reconnecting them. The whole point of this app was to make it easy, not hard. But it is hard, so it’s probably not worth anything.

  • hard to use timer

    The timer causes the ac to turn on occasionally even though I have turned it and the timer off. As a result I always use it last in fan mode so if it turns on, it’s just a fan…
  • Logging in is now broken

    Every time they update the app, they break something - this time it is rendered unusable
    Every time Gree updates the app you have to login. Normally that’s fine but now the app is telling me to check the box to accept the terms of service. The only problem is there is no box and I am locked out of the app.
    Good luck calling Gree because they are not interested in talking to their customers unless you were an HVAC contractor.
    Lord knows, you wouldn’t want to talk to any pesky customers. And I can’t send them feedback because I cannot Check their stupid little box for the agreements, which NOBODY reads. Zero stars.

  • Horrendous

    Why even have an app if you’re not going to put in the work to make it better. I first used this app over a year ago but uninstalled after seeing how horrible it was. I’m here to tell that 1 year later and it’s just as bad. My AC unit frequently shows offline or just disappears from the app. Or the app mysterious loses my password 1 day after installing and I can no longer log in. You read that right, I am again uninstalling this all after 1 day. Simply horrendous.

  • Use the app before buying the appliances

    This app has had problem after problem. It loads for the longest period of time, never lets me change the temperature. I have a remote but it’s in Chinese and the main reason I got the mini splits was because of the Wi-Fi capability. I tried contacting support but the website is in Chinese so I can’t access it. Gree please fix the issues with your app ! And make the website user friendly for all nationalities.
