  • Avoid this brand of Mini Split System’s

    Imagine equipment failure horrors then triple it. I am on my 3rd and last set of equipment because after replacing my system for a 3rd time I was informed they would no longer honor any warranty claims. Mind you the 3 system replacement claims were within the first 3 years. The 3rd & currently installed for past 5 years and should still be fully under warranty. The power distribution out & in was completely redesigned on last system to first two. The app is horrible as well. While it works using pics reverts to Chinese a lot.

  • The Best!!!!

    My two units do both heat and A/C and I absolutely love them. They work better then I thought, also having them on my phone and can turn them on and off from anywhere is awesome. I definitely recommend them A+
  • No issues

    I have to believe that only unhappy people write reviews. The app was easy to set up, has the functionality I need and has not given me any trouble. I highly recommend.
  • Has HUGE problem that should have been in version 0.1 beta.

    The app works fine, easy to set up, easy to use. However there is a HUGE omission of functionality that needs to be immediately addressed.

    The app/units have no maximum nor minimum temp setting allowed. I should be able to set a maximum and minimum temperature that people are allowed to set. For example, I do not want guests setting the unit to 80 degrees because they think the room will heat faster or 58 degrees because they think it will cool faster. People are infinitely stupid and or ignorant and don’t understand that all they’re doing is wasting my money and not getting what they want.

    GREE must fix this and allow owners to set maximum and minimum temps. Until this is included the app is just an on off switch and kind of not very helpful.

    This is a major oversight and included with every other HVAC system I’ve ever used. I cannot give this app over two stars until this major issue is resolved.

  • Great app

    I can control my 3 split ac’s from anywhere and i almost never have any problems. sometimes it won’t control the ac but a quick internet source change or a restart of the app solves the problem. i never use the controllers that came with the ac. They are in a drawer with no batteries in them.
  • Third, and current review: Down to 1 star as it lost BOTH of my minis

    The first error said, occasionally, that the mini in my den had disconnected. I would wait, and it would reappear a sort time later. Then, it finally said it was disconnected, and stayed that way. I went to reestablish the connection using the power and mode buttons on my remote. It reset, but when I went to use it, it disappeared again. After that, no matter how many times I tried, it wouldn't reconnect. I finally decided to delete the den, and add it again. It wouldn't work AND it effected the WiFi signal to my bedroom Mini. It now said it was a virtual set up! It wouldn’t work at all. I tried, again, to reestablish this mini, to no avail. I finally decided that the app had messed up so I deleted the app and reinstalled it. It recognizes that there is a mini in my bedroom, but it says disconnected, and it won't reconnect. It doesn't recognize the den mini at all. The beeps sound saying that the minis reconnected, but neither one did whenever I tried. So, now I can't use my WiFi at all! And, because I’m disabled, I NEED the WiFi! I'm not happy! Come on, Gree. You're supposed to be the best! But your WiFi is TERRIBLE!

  • Very very rudimentary

    This app has only the most basic functions. It often loses connection to your units requiring the tedious removal and re-adding process. However my largest complaint is that the most basic functions of setting times to run with set heat/cool temperatures does not exist. My thermostat from 1989 can do this… why does your app not?

  • Does not work.

    I connected 4 units to the app. After 2 weeks the app automatically signed me out. I tried logging back in and it would not recognize my login info. I tried changing my password and it would not send me an email. Very frustrating.

  • Less features and functionality than an 80’s thermostat

    I was really excited about Wi-Fi connectivity between my blueridge system and the Gree app. Unfortunately, in practice, this app is missing several crucial features and functions:

    1. Timer presets set in the app are automatically deactivated when the temperature on a unit is adjusted manually on a remote.
    2. Options for timer presets are rudimentary (on/off) and TIME. NO ability to choose which function (heat, fan, cool) is activated at the selected time.
    3. You need a separate gree account for each of your devices (you’re unable to be logged in on multiple devices with the same account).

    I am open to updating my review if these changes are made. So far the user interface is very disappointing and I’d highly recommend looking closely at other options before committing to this system.
