  • Why can’t I stay logged in?

    Super simple app interface.
    Which is fine.
But the reason it drops from 4 or 5 stars to a 2 is because my login doesn’t persist. It behaves as if I am a brand new user every time app opens. That might be fine on a desktop/laptop web browser. Bit in a mobile experience? Unacceptable.

I’m deleting this app, and just going back to using Chrome.

  • Login issue

Why can’t I stay logged in? I have three forums in the app. When I navigate back and forth I don’t stay logged in. This is super annoying. Please fix ASAP. Also having a way to contact support from the App would be nice...
  • Does what it needs to do

IMO it is not a problem that the app opens a web View for you to interact with discourse itself. Discourse provides such a solid mobile browsing experience anyway that building a native app which would improve upon what the mobile web version does would require a ton more work than most people realize. I think that managing notifications and providing a unified location for accessing the discourse instances that you follow is a perfect sweet spot for this app and so far it has served that role well.

  • Nothing but a browser

This app is literally nothing but a web browser. As others have said, when you tap on a forum, it will open up a safari viewing window. It’s useless and you’re better off adding the forum to your home screen as an app. I, too, wish that they could have made this a real app; it shouldn’t be very difficult.

  • Basically useless

All it is is a web viewer. Please just integrate with Tapatalk.
  • The app opens a browser

This app does nothing but open a web browser whenever you visit a Discourse site. The only benefit it offers is notifications. Why don’t you work a little harder on it before you release it.
  • Just a Web View

The only useful thing this app provides is notifications. When you tap a forum it literally just opens a Safari View Controller and calls it a day. I wish time was spent making this a real native app.
  • Dual Sign On

Would love to see support for a dual sign on with a single Discourse Forum. In other words, if you have two accounts (such as an administrator and test account) on a Discourse Forum, support for both logins would be fantastic.
  • Liked it better before the update.

I have mixed feelings about the update. While I like the dashboard structure to easily see what is new and updated. I really enjoyed being able to use the app as a client and not just a link to launch a Safari tab to my discourse sites. I would prefer the pre-update version to the current version
  • Update ruined everything

Before this update, the app worked like a charm. Now, I cannot use my google keyboard. I see no point in having an app designed for typing that I cannot type in. I have many regrets updating this. Truly disappointed.
