Bob’s Hearphones

I’m a long standing Bose consumer.
Starting with my first Bose Wave Radio in 1994 to my latest product, Bose Hearphones. I’m have a very significant hearing impairment. The Hearphones have changed my life. They work better than hearing aids I previously used, costing thousands. I’m delighted and happy I can hear in all situations.
A very happy consumer.

app with hearphones takes time to calibrate

Patience pays off. I’m into my second week and the first days were a challenge. It’s worth it! Tech support helped, as did being willing to do some extended trial and error work. I wanted to be in control. And I’m getting there. Bose IS an enabler! And that’s a good thing. If you want out of the box. It probably doesn’t exist, since everyone’s needs and expectations are different. Working with the quite flexible and responsive interface I’m hearing better than I have in some time. And better than I could reasonably expect from this relatively economical solution. Trust Bose? Now, I do. Thank’s Bose!

Could be improved

The app allows access to functions that can't be controlled from the Hearphones. When it works, it's great (although slow to start up) but at least once a day I get an error message that it can't connect to them - even when they're on (not off or charging) and at 80% battery power.

I can’t believe what I’m hearing

Or so but I can’t believe the difference and hearing things like my foot walking on the floor and everything I’m un believable out how to use him but it seems pretty simple I’ve mainly bought them for my dad is very hard of hearing so the proof will be in the pudding when I put them on his head and see what he can hear

Works great but tough for elderly

The hearphones have really helped my 95 year old father hear much better. His hearing loss is really isolating so I was happy when he started wearing them. Unfortunately the black-on-black on switch and charger cover make it really hard for my father to turn it on or charge it himself. I painted a little nail polish on the two spots just to make them clearer.

They Work (Could Be Better)

The best thing is they work. I can hear conversations well and don’t have to have people repeat themselves over and over.

They are a little tinny, however, that and when I talk, my voice is amplified, which makes me think I’m loud.

The headphones are Bose quality, so for music or talking of the phone, they are very nice. But in conversation, the sound quality is harsh.

High pitched noises are sharp and could be toned down. There is a tone control, but when I move the tone to add more bass, it becomes hard to hear people with high voices.

Overall I like them, but at the same time, there is a lot of room for improvement.

As a follow up, I wasn’t able to keep them. Conversations were very difficult and I could not get over the way I sounded. My voice was loud and I was unable to get over that. Also, I found myself getting dizzy when I was using them, like my balance was off.

After two days I took them back. I wanted them to work for me, but never was able to adjust to them.

OMG

I can’t believe what I hear. I have about 10 to 20% hearing loss. Enough that my wife will say something in the same room and I say what or I say nothing. and she says it again. Then says you need your hearing checked. When I first turned the hearphones on and she said those first words to me I have to admit I started to tear up. I could not believe it. So far I am looking this product THANKS Bose.

Buy this now !

It the best way to spend that amount of money, i use it to decrease the noise of newyork subway, and useless surrounding noises in order to enjoy more calmness, the sound is good and bass is deep, but this is not everything, the technology in it is highly unusual, in way of filtering of audible human voices by specific augmentation. It feels sophisticated enough to be worn everywhere, low profile and soon you will forget it is on you.
I dont know much about sound engineering, but i cant feel it is well balanced. Good for Bose

Does work with Bose Soundsport headphones

A message notified me I should get this app when I first connected my Bose Soundsport headphones. While the app recognizes and even displays a photo of my headphones, it tells me to connect them to my phone through a second app. I’ve downloaded the app and connected my headphones yet still, this app refuses to recognize that they’re connected. Overall a frustrating and time-consuming waste of time. I expected more from Bose.

Not what I thought

I purchased the BOSE Hearphones and I also downloaded the app. I do not get the quality of the BOSE sound when listening to TV or listening to conversations. Too much treble and humming. When I speak I can hear myself very loud. I have been playing with the world volume and treble and bass levels but can’t find the sound I am accustomed to with BOSE. The music plays well. Lots of money and not as happy as I usually am with my BOSE other purchases. These however are great hearing aids for those who need them in this manner.
