Takes advantage of vulnerable people

Too bloody expensive.

Response from developer

Hey, thanks so much for your feedback! Peanut is still free to download and use. Any premium features that enhance your experience are optional. You can access the same result without payment by continuing to swipe to find a match. 'See who waved' is just a way to speed the process up! 🥜

Ok App

You set your discovery settings to be within a walkable distance and with moms with babies in the same age range. But that is completely ignored and they still send people that are from from a different area.

This app has made me feel not alone

I don’t have social media and tried other apps to make connections with no luck. I’m so grateful for this app. I met up with 4 ladies from the app yesterday and we all shared how thankful we are to have connected all because of Peanut. We said “whoever invented this app and those that run it, are genius! Thank you for thinking of us!” Its user friendly. Simple to use. And I’m SO glad they allow the feature to message each other without paying. Many people don’t use the wave feature because they don’t pay. I’d give 5 stars if I could group message ladies who I wanted. But I cannot because we aren’t considered a “connection” unless we both wave to one another. I hope that is corrected. It didn’t hinder us from meeting though as we exchanged numbers after our meet up and started a group text chat. Thank you to everyone at Peanut for helping this lonely mom makes friends. I’m so grateful and feel like a new person today because of it.

Avoid

Horrible, antisemitic app. Got banned for standing up to Jew hatred and antisemitism which apparently is all okay. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Waves not free

It is strange you cannot see who is waving at you with the free option… at least allow the person to send a blind message back. Hopefully they adjust this feature in the app.

Only for woman

I think it’s sad that this app is only targetted for woman! Dad too would like to connect and help their kid socialise with other kids!

Hey! Peanut was born from a personal need: the need to find friendship and support when navigating pregnancy and motherhood. In order to provide the best possible user experience, our focus has been on these life stages to date. Notifications are irritating and excessive

This app would really benefit from greater control over the type of notifications a user can choose to receive. The notifications already received repeat CONSTANTLY and are almost impossible to mute because they are pushed with different titles every time, ie a post by a specific user on a message board is one type whilst by another user is a different type so muting the first does not mean the second will be muted. They can be very stressful and fear inducing at what is obviously the most vulnerable time in an expecting person’s life who might not want to be notified, say, about people discussing their birth horror stories, or suspicions about their partners, or whether or not their LO is ill. I’ve (unfortunately) paid for this app and will not rate it higher than 1 star until I see notifications management prioritised and addressed.

Hey! Have you tried customizing your Notification Settings in the app? Open Peanut and select the profile icon on the bottom right > Select the Settings icon on the top right > Toggle your Notification Settings however you’d like. If you have done this, please can you drop us an email at support@teampeanut.com so we can investigate? 🕵️‍♀️

Upsetting

I downloaded this app because I moved to a new area in my first trimester and really wanted to make some new friends while settling into my new home. I don’t normally leave reviews but I’m really upset by this app. I saw it advertised and thought ‘brilliant’ and so I downloaded it and spent time creating my account just to be asked to PAY to see who’s waving at me and wants to be my friend.
I got notifications all the time to ‘see who was waving at me’ but I couldn’t unless I paid. Which is not fair. Pregnant women wanting to make friends shouldn’t be a cause for someone to try and make money out of. It’s massively upsetting. I have since deleted the app and I’m just going to wait and see who I meet in mum groups. I just find it upsetting that we have to pay to see who wishes to communicate with us!

Location doesn’t work

I like the app but I want to find moms within walking distance from me but no matter how I change the settings it keeps showing profiles from the opposite side of the city somehow

Response from developer

Oh no! We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with the app - this doesn't sound like the intended behavior. Please can you send an email to support@teampeanut.com so we can investigate? 🕵️‍♀️
