Disappointed

UPDATE: I think this app has been deserted. Nothing new has been added in what seems like years. I am giving 2 stars because I love the old Shred style workouts and it is handy to have them on my tablet when away from home. Other than that, the app gets 1 star. I have had the app for years. Loved it initially, and gave a 5 star review in the past, despite a number of frustrating bugs hampering my workouts but that have now been fixed. I love that most of Jillian’s dvds are now on the app, and that there are a number of other workouts and the option to generate workouts. On the downside, there haven’t been any new workouts for quite some time, and often new content either uses specialised gym equipment that few people will have access to, or meditation/breathing exercises, which are all well and good, but not really Jillian’s USP. The ‘Community’ aspect of the App is particularly poor. The section called ‘Ask Jillian’ in particular seems pointless as responses are few and far between. Overall, I have given 3 stars because the older content is great. I have been a fan of Jillian’s workouts for decades. If you want some decent workouts that will give results, this App is still a good choice. If you get bored easily and like switching things up, doing something a little different or simply trying a new variation of previous workouts, it might not be for you.

Why is only possibility of 25 seconds/movement

I've tried emailing the app twice but haven't received a reply. Is there a way to increase the time for each movement I don't know because it's quite annoying its locked at 25 seconds, you can't edit and choose yourself if you need to increase the time or go by the number of repetitions that go with my goal. I had to repeat "redo" if I wanted to do something for 40 seconds.... That’s my only issue that stopped me from subscribing. this and maybe the fact i havent gotten a reply from the support.

Please contact us at Help@JillianMichaels.com including your account/subs email address. We see that this has been replied to twice with step-by-step instructions. You can adjust the time between exercises up to 60 seconds and this info is available in our FAQs. We look forward to assisting you.

Love the app…when it doesn’t crash…

Love this app and have been a Jillian classes follower for years. I workout 5 times a week with the app, boy does it crash often! I think it’s gotten to my top 10 list of things that can frustrate me the most in my week. You’re in the middle of your workout, 30min in and then the app just decides its done for the day. Or! don’t you dare answer a phone call, or a text during your workout, it’ll ceash. You have to then reload it and of course your workout plan is not the same you stated with, but even worse, all the work you did before is now gone. So according to Jill, you worked out T-30min in your data recap…Ruins your happy “you” time, especially if it’s at the start of your day. This happens at the very least once a week…needs to be fixed.

Best fitness app on the planet

Jillian is the only person who can change your body - the tone and muscle definition comes through so quickly. It’s the consistency. Just stick with and you’ll see results.

Really efficient

The main trainer have a way to encourage you to push yourself and the workout is really good and diversified. I have been doing it since covid and it really has eased my mental state Specially when I faced some health issues. I have a background as a professional dancer just to specify that those exercises are for all levels of shape.

Great content, interface could be better

I’ve used this app for years, and love the content. You can find or generate just about any kind of workout you want, and personalize it to your fitness level. However, I don’t find the interface very intuitive, and would love a more robust dashboard. For example, I’d love to see a list of my most recent workouts on my dashboard, instead of just the last one I did. Another example is the MB30 challenge, which lists different meditations and workouts for each of 30 days, but doesn’t link to that content or allow you to add that content to your dashboard. You have to get out of that page, go to workouts, then scroll or search to find. Most days there are at least 4 different pieces of content, so it gets time consuming.
The Meals page is also a mess, with not much content or organization, the same recipes for years, and not much guidance on overall nutrition. They should either build it out or get rid of it.
Overall, the app is very much worth the investment, but could use a facelift.

What happened to the 7 minute work outs?

Signed up for the free trial because of the 7 min workouts that I like to supplement with treadmill. Opened the app today and they were gone

Great workouts!

Really appreciate Jillian and love the workouts! Only thing that prevents a 5-star review is the app could be a bit better: it’s lost track of my program a couple of times; it’s messed up the balance of workouts on occasion (for example, will do a left leg lunge and then not include a right leg lunge - it’s probably only happened 3 or 4 times, but is noticeable when it happens); it doesn’t notice if I’ve missed a few days (and will say “Rest Day!”) - better tracking would also help me stay more consistent; and I think it could do more with the “My Journey” (more check-ins, more interactive, more tracking, customizable notifications outside of the app, etc.). Overall very, very good though. If I could be more consistent with it, I would be very happy with my health! lol!

Best Fitness App I've Tried

And I've tried a lot of them. I have such a hard time with organization and getting overwhelmed by all the options out there, this just tells me what to do every day in sequence, the workouts are fast-paced never boring, well edited, motivating. Wonderful 😊
