Great Customer Service

We got these LINK AKC smart collars for our two labs who like to run in the woods. It gives us peace of mind that we can find them when they decide to visit neighbors miles down the road. The sound feature is great for training too as they both come back home when activated. One of the carriers for the tracker broke and we were unable to find the tracker in the woods. Customer support is sending a new carrier and tracker to us, which is fantastic. Couldn’t be happier with them and it’s only been a couple of months!

Tech Support

My dog chewed his collar and GPS off some time ago. This morning I logged onto the LinkAKC website to get another collar and gps and to straighten out my old account information that was a mess (created by me). I dealt with Olivia P in the chat box help session.

I could not be more pleased with the service! She was EXCELLENT. She was courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and efficient. In short order, I had the collar and gps ordered, my old account information corrected, and instructions on how to handle my existing service plan for the new collar. WHAT A TREAT!

Great Customer service

I just finished speaking with an excellent customer service representative for the AKC link product. Her name is Suzzy. She was very helpful very kind and she took care of every problem that I had and concern. The last time I spoke with one of the AKC representatives she was not very nice to me and it really gave me a bad feeling about the product however Suzzy’s has change my mind completely thank you so much for having such an awesome employee and such an awesome app.

Nice idea but not reliable.

I have had ongoing issues with reliability and accuracy since I started using the Link. Link replaced the device which did help with charging issues. However, tracking is not accurate - shows ‘updating current location’, but doesn’t update. Also, I frequently receive false notices that the dog ‘is away/then ‘has returned to base station’. If you have problems, customer service is not available evenings and weekends. I will be switching systems when my subscription expires.

Sound feature to find hiding pets!

Thank god for the sound feature on the collar! My dog does not make a peep, especially when she’s trying to hide from me. Thank you for adding that feature. You could even make it louder if you wanted! She hides right before I leave for work and she knows she’ll be put back in the house for the day.

Great Customer Service

Suzy helped me with an issue with my one dog’s transmitter. There is never a hassle when you deal with customer service. They take care if issues and really try to please the customer something that is rare these days. They know what it takes to generate customer loyalty!

I engaged in a chat with Jacki from LINK AKC customer service. She was awesome and 100% took care of my questions. I’d recommend LINK AKC chat service to any customer.

Customer support hours impossible if you work

BEWARE Only worked 2 months. Have been in touch via email because they are open M-F 9-6 when I work. Needed to be with the unit to test. Won’t cancel application unless I call in. Getting charged for almost a year for a service I can’t use. Asked to mail it in for testing and told no. Why can I buy the application without a phone call but not cancel it. This is ridiculous. BEWARE

Best is yet to come(?)

I have not yet received my whole system, however I would still give this app 4 stars due to the response I get from support staff. Everyone I have spoken with has been very helpful and patient. I look forward to updating this review when I have the full system. Even now definitely worth the investment!!

Works great BUT

This things has worked great for me, but has not been without its problems.
I have a basset hound and they tend to wander around, So a gps collar is a godsend.
I received the gps collar as a Christmas present, and immediately put it on my puppy. It works for the most part. When she got out of the yard, I know immediately when it sent me a push notification on my iPhone that she was away.
I did the list dog feature, and even though it took a long time to track her, or to get it to update her position, but when I finally got it to work, I was able to go EXACTLY to her location and pick her up.
The biggest problem I have is getting the collar to update its position, but it still for some reason immediately tells me when she is away, or back with me, or back near the hub.
If it can do those things that quickly, why would it be that hard to get the real-time god tracker to update where she is?
I know a lot of these things are the collar connecting to my phone with Bluetooth or WiFi and using my phones gps position to update where she is.
But besides the issues I have had with updating position, it works like a charm, and has saved my puppy getting to far away by alerting me she is away.
I would highly recommend this product if you have a dog who is a super escape artist like mine.
I am positive that with updates they will improve the product.
