Elegant and easy to use.
I’m my somewhat limited experience of trading platforms, Trading View is great. I picked up a year at 50% off, those deep discounts along with tiered pricing make it an accessible, powerful, tool for beginners, also offering cheap live data for paper trading.
I have experience with Ninjatrader, Tradovate, ATAS,(another belter of a program) and a little with Volumetrica. Trading View also has cool educational content, something almost entirely lacking with Volumetrica unless you speak Italian.
So far, my go to setup is TradingView, ATAS, executing on Volumetrica(prop firm default). If I was to chose Trading View as my only platform, I’d definitely look at a higher tier subscription to gain access to the footprint and TPO tools. Altogether, it’s a great program.

Disappointing Update: TradingView Now Requires Subscription for Real-Time Data Purchases
I’ve been a long-time user of TradingView, but I’m disappointed by their recent change requiring a monthly subscription just to access real-time data purchases. Before, it was possible to buy real-time data separately, and that flexibility was a huge benefit. Now, paying for the subscription only unlocks the option to purchase real-time data on top of that, which feels like an extra charge for something that used to be more straightforward.
This change makes TradingView feel less user-friendly, especially for those of us who rely on accurate, real-time data but don’t necessarily want or need a full subscription. It’s frustrating to see a useful feature turn into a hidden cost.

IPhone app drives me nuts once a week
This woul be a 5-star app if it did not go on a half an hour (sometimes longer) 'nap', almost every Monday morning when I try to use it for the first time in a week. Extremely frustrating experience!
Basically, charts freeze, as if a major data update is happening in the background. Eventually it starts working, and is good for the week.
BTW, it's not my phone. I tried it on 3 different iPhones (including a brand new iPhone 13) over the past two years and they all suffered the same way.

Unusable
Hangs and doesn’t load. Can only enter single trades. Cannot hedge. Not good for entering real trades Frequently get a blank screen. Seems to be waiting on data but it never loads. Frequently get the messages: -Opps, something went wrong -Sorry, an error occurred
Used to have premium. Support is quite good at that level. TV is a very expensive analysis tool. 90% of this free on MT or cTrader. Plus cTrader uses C# not pinescript
