  • great and simple app that i’ve always wanted.

this app has been exactly what i’ve been looking for for years. cannot recommend enough for logging your reps.

to the devs: i hope the app gets more ways to sort and organize exercises/lists. Things like grouping lists, grouping exercises within a list, ways to filter by muscle group/assigning tags to exercises, or even ways to do notes in between exercises within a list. i love Setgraph for its modularity compared to competitor apps, and would hope that you all expand on that modularity. thanks

  • Great App With Room To Improve

Setgraph really is one of the best apps out there for tracking your work outs. ive been using it for a little over a year now and its been my mainstay the whole time. i would want to see a few tweaks made to it, from small stuff and some bigger stuff. one of the little things that could be improved upon is that when you search an exercise, it pops up with a bunch of suggestions for you to add, but if you’ve only typed in half the word it’ll kick you out. say you’ve typed three letters and you have “dum” while searching for “dumbbell bench”, well you’ll tap on the “dumbbell bench” option but the app will kick you out of the exercise and autocorrect to something else. albeit a very minor inconvenience, but it’s the small things that make the biggest differences. One of the big things that i would love to see is a total volume for each exercise in the “Set Details” tab. I know it’s available under each exercise, but i feel like it would also fit in the above mentioned tab. overall a wonderful app with no real issues to speak of and a (kinda) low price for what it offers. i would 100% recommend setgraph, especially as it outperforms many of its competitors. would love to see some changes here and there and maybe a price reduction, but definitely one of the best options on the market.

  • Not fancy, just very, very useful

This app is great; very straightforward. It took me a few minutes to learn the difference between “exercise lists” and “exercises”, and how to add my own exercises if I couldn’t find them in their (expansive) list; likely because I’m misspelling something. I love how you can set a timer between sets so I don’t get lost “doom scrolling” on my phone.

If it’s lacking one thing, it’s the ability to record time to cardio based sets; for example if you wanted to record a time or distance on a rowing machine or assault bike; I’ve been using the comment section, but it’d be nice to chart it.

Thank you for your positive feedback and for highlighting the ease of use and helpful features of Setgraph! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the app, especially the set timer functionality. Regarding your concern about recording time or distance for cardio-based exercises like rowing or biking: you can indeed log these details through the "Sessions" section of the app. If you need assistance or more detailed information on how to do this, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team at support@setgraph.app.
  • Randomly deleted my entire workout history

I really liked this app. I’ve been a premium subscriber for nearly a year and have been logging my workouts for that long. Today, for no identifiable reason, my entire workout history is nowhere to be found. All my saved workouts and exercises are gone, and I’m getting a random “missing or insufficient permissions” error message. I’m hoping my email to support is answered soon and my workouts are restored- otherwise using this app is useless. The whole point is to track data and progress over time…

We're pleased to report that the recent issue with missing data has been resolved. No data was lost; it was temporarily inaccessible due to a server issue, which is now fixed. Your workout history and exercises should be fully restored. If you have any further issues or questions, please feel free to contact our support team. We appreciate your patience and commitment to Setgraph.
  • Good but could be better

Amazing app I love it. I don't know why you remove features though.

Could you add a timer on it and put an option for time instead of weight because sometimes ppl want to measure stuff like plank time, dead hang time, breath hold. I use the weight but it would just look nicer w a timer there and then I wouldn’t have to leave the app to use my own timer.

You also were able to scroll through previous workouts and now it's tap which is frustrating. Also some stats like total volume done in exercise for every set ever, or total reps on an exercise, just cool stats that are easy to add.

I don't think there is a drop set feature either.

For 30$ a year from so many ppl it seems like pretty simple opportunities to improve, I haven't seen a good update in ages.

  • My personal Opinion

I don’t usually write reviews but this app is very unique to me. To start of you get a free trial which I’ve been using for two sessions so far and it is amazing. You get to build your own workout plans with many options to choose from and if you don’t see a desired workout you can create and implement your own. So to end it off this app is very well put together and easy to use for any person. I don’t know the benefits of a membership and I never will because I don’t often buy them because I’ll forget.

  • Wonderful app

I love how many exercises are available, reasonable pricing, the data graphs, and overall simple usability.
I would suggest to please develop on the session time workout. It’s very easy for me to simply forget that I turned it on and when I come back to the app I will have four thousand hours recorded. It would also be helpful if the timing session could be recorded so we can see the average time spent on the workout.

Thank you for this wonderful app.

  • Amazing App!! (But…)

I’ll start this off by saying I’m not sponsored by/affiliated with anyone within this company. Found this when looking up workout tracking apps. I have been a long-time fan of recording my workout data within the iOS notes app using tables. It was an archaic way of tracking but I didn’t have any other options.

Now that I use Setgraph, I love that I can make workout groups, gathering each day’s exercises into a simple tab that I can select depending on the day. Searching for and adding exercises is easy enough, and the Custom workout feature is a nice touch.

Now, in terms of what can be improved, I have one simple suggestion.

Instead of logging an individual set at the end of the set in question, make it so that you log it at the beginning. My thought process is that you can set the number of reps and the weight, and then hit “Log”. A timer starts, which tracks how long you spend on that given set, which is another piece of data that I think would be great to track. Once you’re done with the set, hit “Finish”, and the app starts the “Rest” timer, only for the cycle to repeat at the end.

Simple suggestion that would make the app even better than it already is. Maybe something to spruce up the UI could be nice too :) Otherwise I love the app and it is well deserving of its 5 star rating.

  • good for what it is

It’s good for keeping track of the reps and sets of each exercise cause I always forget and it’s better then having to carry a pen and paper. The only thing I struggle with is the analytics, that being the graph and other very minor things but everything else is pretty good. Very convenient.
  • The first and only functional version I’ve seen

This app does exactly what I need it to in a simple way. It’s incredible how bad most of the other apps out there are it took me ages to find this but I won’t be switching.

One suggestion that would be super helpful to me - add an option to view todays exercise vs your average instead of just vs your previous. Not every day can be your best, and if you have a weak lift one day it makes it look like you’re blowing your PR out the water but in reality you’re just back where you were before you had a bad day. I’d love to be able to toggle between beating previous day and beating your average.

Thank you for your feedback. This is a great suggestion that could help users to further analyze their progress! If users are interested, they can use the graph feature to view their progress over time, which is based on every workout recorded. Still, we want to keep improving and are grateful for your suggestion.
