  • Great App

This is a great app from NSW Parks, I’m a proud Victorian, but Parks Victoria should be taking notes.

I use this over AllTrails whenever I’m hiking in NSW.

Almost makes the park entry fees worth it, good work NPWS!
  • NSW Parks App

Just brilliant, every state should have an app like this. Keep building and improving on this app, kudos to all involved with its creation. Well done 👍👍👍👍👍
  • Mid age hiker

Very helpful information. The guide and alert section has been very useful specially after bad weathers.
  • Glad it exists but it’s still . somewhat clunky

This is a very helpful app, packed with handy information. The downloads for offline usage is great. However a good enhancement would be to be able to search parks with multiple campgrounds by availability for all , instead of having to check each location individually and then each spot individually. Very time consuming.

  • Just one thing to make it awesome

I love the app but there’s just one thing that stops me from using it 90% of the time when I otherwise would. If I’m looking for somewhere to camp I want to filter by more criteria - particularly whether fires are permitted. I’d use it all the time if I could filter with criteria such as coastal, shower, toilet, fire permitted. As it is, it’s easier to get on a computer and search park by park via the map.

  • Taking ages to load the Ap

I absolutely love National parks and wildlife ap it is so informative and has never not promised something at a campground that it hasn’t delivered.
But lately it is taking ages to load onto my phone .. Not a phone problem as it’s a latest version iPhone just wondering if it’s something that needs a look at .
Keep up the amazing work NPWS I have had an awesome time camping and exploring all the areas up to now .

  • Could be great

My version doesn’t show road names , track names or even names of towns on it , makes it a bit hard to plan a trip. Do the people making the app actually use it ?
  • Great app for newbie bushwalkers

I have loved a 15 minute drive away from the Royal National Park but have never gone beyond stopping at Audley or the beaches. I decided to try bush walking and have been so afraid of getting lost that I never tried. This app gave me the confidence to do it knowing that I can track my walk on offline maps without getting lost and even did it completely alone. Highly recommended, especially for beginners.

  • Site update required

National Parks and Wildlife NSW app & website are great if you are happy to work with 1990 style websites that are clunky with poor graphics & difficult navigation. You can find wonderful campsites & walking trails with breathtaking vistas, you can get up close to nature and all of her beautiful flora & fauna. They give you that opportunity & it’s affordable as it should be because it belongs to all of us BUT the site itself is not for the easily frustrated computer amateur and even the tech savvy among us will be frustrated by the poor display & design of this website

  • Needs more park updates

Tracks which are closed don’t show as closed on the app. Not all NP tracks appear here and the Alerts page takes you to all alerts for NSW not to the ones specifically for the park you are enquiring about. Eg. where is the info for Fairy Bower Falls walking track? Rusden Head? Florence Head? Gerringong Falls? Etc.
