  • Decent app but Kosciuszko offline maps useless

Downloaded this app to explore local parks. Turns out that while most offline maps work and online functionality work; Kosciuszko online and offline maps do not. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling but this doesn’t work. Only ever got the “maps” tab working once, don’t know how or why.

There is some fantastic info and tips in the app; but the fact that I can’t get maps for the biggest national park in NSW is very concerning. I hope you do fix this ASAP.

  • Map not helpful

Bring back the old version. You could select shower, toilet etc for campgrounds & it would select your preferences, also had a map that was useful.

The maps on this app is near useless, very hard to work out locations.

I tried to contact National Parks, there was no one to speak with. Frustrating.

Thanks for your feedback. Our website uses the filters you've described but our app hasn't featured these filter options before. Maybe you've mixed up your experience between them? The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service Contact Centre is very responsive and can be contacted via www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/about-npws/contact-us or 1300 072 757, answering or directing any questions you may have to the appropriate areas.
  • Don’t you like the ACT and Booderee.

No search results for Booderee and you manage it!

The map is next to useless.

If this is and example of your maps, I will stick to Guru Maps, Wikicamps, CMCA or Camps Australia..

It even names Green Patch as Greenfield, my god, you checks your maps for you???

Nothing else is listed on the Jervis Bay Area???

    no tracks, no beachs!!!!

The description about leaving a trip description and plan has a highlighted text, leave a plan, or something, but no link!

Where does one leave a walking plan?

    The App needs some work!

Thanks for your feedback Spelio. Booderee National Park is managed by Parks Australia, not NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. We recommend visiting https://parksaustralia.gov.au/booderee for information about Booderee National Park or contacting Parks Australia via https://parksaustralia.gov.au/booderee/contact with any questions or issues you may have with the park information they provide. The areas around Jervis Bay that are managed by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service can be found under Jervis Bay National Park in the app or on our website at https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/visit-a-park/parks/jervis-bay-national-park.
  • Offline feature useless

TLDR: the app is nice, the offline map doesn’t work so wouldn’t rely on it. 4/10

I downloaded this app before our hike for the offline map feature. During our hike we were in SOS mode but thankfully had the app downloaded with the corresponding map. At my consternation when opening the map it said it was offline despite the fact that I had downloaded it priori. This rendered the app useless and would suggest to anyone to just screenshot the map when you are online.

Thanks for your feedback. That's a strange issue because the downloaded maps should be stored on your device. If you have screenshots showing the problem when you tried to access the downloaded map, can you please send them to apps@nationalparks.nsw.gov.au and we can investigate the issue?
  • Amazing app!

This app is so great for planning getaways and exploring. Love the download feature so you can get around when there is no internet reception. Awesome work!
  • Great App

Very easy to use. It would be great to be able to down load all parks or at least a hole region at a time by clicking the one download button, as opposed to only having the option to download each park individually. Thanks
  • Best way to get the maps

This was by far the best way to see where the paths are and how to pick start points Etc.
  • Solid App - Great Info!

Easy to use and guide through. Big fan of the app. Would be awesome and have 5 stars if you added a check mark function to show what you have done, maybe next to the favourites heart to help you keep track of all the walks you've completed. Will also give me extra motivation to finish them all. 🙃
  • Great app!

This is so good for finding new places to go. You can search for a National Park and then it will list all the activities you can do there... like hiking trails, bike tracks, camping grounds, picnic grounds, lookouts etc, as well as a description, map, and difficulty rating. OR you can search by the kind of activity you want to do... so for example you can search for historical sites or Indigenous Australian sites or camping grounds etc.
    love love love it 💕✨💕✨

  • Best Camping app ever

There is so much content on the one app. Also I love that you can choose to download all info on a park. Really intuitive too. Nice.
