Stop Always Buying New - LOOK HERE FIRST
Look… let’s be honest. Your 12-year-old golfer doesn’t NEED those new clubs or that new catchers glove, or that new youth sized ice hockey goalie stick. I can guarantee in 1-3 years they will grow out of it, so why buy new? Your local re-use / donation store is a good option but not ideal… Facebook marketplace is OK but unless you know the person, it can get weird. Sideline Swap has a TON of options at a reasonable price and makes sure both the buyer and seller are taken care of. The buying and selling tools are extremely easy to use and the phone integration with text messaging makes sure the sale completes as agreed.

They’ve been saying for years that they’re working on adding cad as a currency to the app and have only ever been telling us to use third parties in the meantime, if they’re not implementing it after almost 5 years why say you are? The app is great and it has a ton of useful features, the only thing is that when you see a low price don’t forget it’s in USD (it’ll add up quick)

SidelineSwap Allows Counterfeit Sticks to be Sold
SidelineSwap allows and encourages the sale of counterfeit hockey sticks on their website. These sticks are ordered from China in bulk for cheap and are much worse in quality and durability than their authentic counterparts. Bauer and CCM both have minimum advertised price (MAP) regulations that do not allow ANYONE to sell brand new, current model sticks for lower than the $360 MSRP. The fact that these sellers are selling these sticks for $200 or less is clear evidence that these are not legitimate sticks. You can easily tell by the uneven blade weaves, misprinted graphics, and cheap prices that these are 100% counterfeit. These are not pro stock sticks, just knockoffs of retail models. What they are doing is blatantly illegal and can result in lawsuits from Bauer and CCM. I have been in the industry for 15 years and know for a fact that Bauer and CCM would never allow their sticks to be sold this cheaply. They would not even sell sticks to hockey store employees and partners for that low of a price. I have been reporting these sellers constantly, but SidelineSwap continues to allow them to sell these fake sticks.

Horrible experience
I ordered an item, did not receive it and instead of getting a refund they gave me store credit that expired in 90 days. I had to scramble to buy things I didn’t really need as I couldn’t get another of the same item I ordered originally. Money in my credit card doesn’t expire, so why would you give me store credit that expires, or maybe even better just give me a refund back to my card. What a joke.

Fees getting out of hand. You have your hand in every deal up to your elbow in taking a fee. Everyone I deal with states the same thing. It’s getting crazy. Fee on sale over 10% fee to take fund out of my account. Now a fee to use swap account money. What’s next.
