Great idea to put instructions onto app but some are too simplistic and some far too complicated. Would like to see examples of differing models running so I knew what I was aiming at. Also would like to see as I would like to build other models without taking Vernie to pieces - see the action then know what I am buying the kit to build - for my 8 year old Godson of course!Show lessPeter Nigel
Very good overall.
Overall, very good and kid intuitive. If we leave a build in the middle, sometimes have to go through other steps to get back to what build step we were on. Also, if we go forward in the build and end up in the programming section, it's tricky to get back to the building step we were on. Otherwise, very good app/toy.Show lessJastangl
Starts from scratch after iPad sleeps
Great app but can’t continue building from where you left off after the iPad sleeps. You have to reconnect the Bluetooth, then go back through several of the initial screens again to get back to where you were in the build. Please only get the device to request connection to the motor when it actually needs to, and let the app continue from where you left off building when you open the iPad again after it sleeps. This set just keeps coming up with great projects. My grandson now has a long list of projects and modifications. At six years old he has enough projects to last until Mindstorms arrives.KD7YEG
Great toy but...
Okay, I got to admit this is a pretty darn cool toy but...When I was assembling it you start with bag one and then you open all of them because the frikin 2nd bag doesn't have all the pieces! You open one after the other and before you know it BOOM! All the bags are gone. You think it's no big deal but it is you can't find pieces very easily. So, please get this fixed and tell us at the beginning that your going to be opening ALL the bags.Show lessHazyviv
Great, but small issue
Working on the last part in Frankie the cat and found that the programming after building the googly eyes would not let us edit the custom block, otherwise, it is great, but I would like this fixedTechnology Lion
LEGO boost app
I loved it. It inspired me to build more things it was so fun to play with! My dad help me build it and it was amazing we were in a hotel. Took me two hours or so to build it but it was so fun to build it! We loved it!!!!!!!Missed party

Synced with no effort. Kid loves it. Wish the app did not require you to step through everything so I can use my own to look ahead and find pieces but very minor complaint vs how awesome the app and robot are.Another_Jon_Doe
Our six year old enjoying
Our six year old is really enjoying the Lego Boost set and building like never before. We don’t own a tablet so he is doing Everything on an iPhone just fine and we are all the way through the cowboy stage. The way it builds in stages and expands functionality really works. Have not gotten through all the builds or programming yet but it asked for a rating. I would say I am really impressed so far. One disappointment is that I don’t see a simple intuitive help for individual programming blocks. I figure if you select a block maybe it should offer help to describe the blocks functionality.Show lessOld McRichardson

The original goal was to not share the definitions of the coding blocks because we have seen that children's inquisitive nature helps them learn successfully through trial and error. While that was our original thought we do recognize that some builders will also benefit from having so help understanding the coding blocks. Loose descriptions of the coding blocks have been added to our website to assist those kids. Daughter was so excited to receive this on Christmas Day and the first level worked perfectly well. Returned to it today to find a low battery alert - the batteries we first used were not new so I just went out and bought brand new ones. Still the robot tells me that it has low battery and the light on the brick is set to green. It will not connect to my iPhone!
