  • Technical support says there is a known bug with version 1.9.7.

The app building instructions require the Bluetooth connection to be tested halfway through building. Unfortunately the app gets an error when connecting with our iPad Air. We phoned technical support who guided us through all the possible problems and then admitted to a known connection fault with version 1.9.7. Please wait for the next app version before purchasing. We have waited over two months and are now returning the set. Good luck.

  • App does not work

We got lego boost for our son’s birthday and a month later still not able to play with it. He started building vernie and got stuck trying to connect to the app with Bluetooth. The app keeps asking us to wait indefinitely. We called the lego customer service they told us that they are aware of the problem and that it is being fixed so that we should wait for a week or so until a new release of the app is available and reinstall. Two weeks later still nothing , not a great birthday present so far, can somebody help??
    === UPDATE ====
got help from tech support and it’s worked (thanks :-)) briefly:
-use the lego powered up app to reinstall the firmware
-connector to lego boost app again

  • Connection problem!

Guys, fix the connection issue asap. We bought the toy but can’t use it.

    Developer Response

We're sorry to hear there's trouble. We're working on an update, but you can try this fix in the meantime: Install the Powered Up app and choose any set, then tap the Bluetooth symbol. 📲 Hold the green button on the hub until it starts to flash and the firmware updates, then close the app. You'll now be able to connect in the BOOST app! 🙂✨ -John, LEGO® Customer Service
  • Problems (UPDATE)

I just received my BOOST Creative Toolbox and I’ve built the first thing in pack 1. My batteries are perfectly fine but when I try to connect to the app the hub Bluetooth light will flicker every 3 or 4 seconds and not give the app enough time to connect. It’s very annoying and I know it’s something to do with the app. I will update my review if I fix this. ————————— UPDATE: Customer Support was very quick and helpful. I simply held down the green button once the connecting screen came on and it updated the hub. I tried that and it didn’t work with some old batteries I had. It worked once I put new batteries in the hub so may have actually been one of the reasons for the hub messing up.

  • Love The Engineering!!

Everything is so fun to do and create. The multiple things to learn and make are great for children. I use it everyday and the quality has never wavered. I have never had a problem with the app. It was great in every way. I very much recommend it to parents who have children with the love of legos. It’s a great app with many possibilities and new idea to explore every day. New concepts of coding and engineering are learned every time you use it. It’s a wonderful way to use up your time!

  • Extremely frustrating🤬 set it up before your kid wants to play

I just spent over an hour trying to troubleshoot the Bluetooth connection and my kid is in tears with frustration. After deleting and reinstalling the app didn’t solve the issue we got on Lego chat support. We rebooted iPad reconnected Bluetooth checked model of iPad and confirmed latest version. Then for half an hour we tried to force a firmware update on the move hub following confusing instructions that didn’t work and now we’re told IT will contact us tomorrow? Kid is devastated after all this waiting and waiting.

  • Endless loop

We can’t get the move hub to actually work. We only get an endless loop of please wait, then turn on your move hub, then please wait again. I have called support who says it is the app problem, but they haven’t fixed it yet so we just have a paperweight now
  • Please help my daughter

When recently when we were doing the add-ons to Vernie, The game started glitching. It said please attach ________ to the robot, but it was already attached! I started pressing really hard on them… but still nothing! I tried swapping them… still nothing! Then I deleted the app and downloaded it again…but still nothing! Then I even rebuilt it,… but this time it just showed the gray box with nothing on it. Please help!!!

  • Might not be worth it

I built the models and when I was at the fourth on come none the motor and connect sensor to the move hub. I did everything so I can code but the signs wouldn’t go away. I powered off my iPad, I closed the app then reopened it and I even deleted the app and reinstalled it and still the signs wouldn’t go away. I don’t know what I’m gonna do but I’ll try and fix it and it’s gonna take me another eternity
