Great app to convert old iPad to photo frame
I have used Digital Photo Frame Slideshow for several months to convert an old iPad into a digital picture frame. I am quite happy with its performance. I use Google photos to collect the photos into albums of old pictures that are not in my current Apple photo collection. Photos load quickly from google photos once I learned How. The App offers a nice selection of transitions and other variables.

Perfection!
My photo frame has been giving me grief for a while so I decided to see about finding an app to use my iPad and this works flawlessly. I love how many options there are for custom settings (timer for picture transitions, date, time, weather, runtime schedule) it’s perfect and my husband and I can use a shared folder for all pics vs having to send them to the frame since this checks automatically. Thank you!

Doesn’t load photos
I have subscribed and it worked at first, but now it doesn’t load photos and they are all blurred

Digital picture
It would be the best of those I used , I have tried more than few because they don’t like large numbers. It seems to cope better with 25,000 pictures than others but isn’t perfect: occasionally all pictures are pixelated and the app needs a restart and the metadata (date picture was taken ) can be totally wrong

Great Slideshow Presenter
Works fantastically well. Plays a large mix of videos, live photos, normal photos, panoramas all without crashing for days. I run it natively on an iPad and sometimes mirror it to an Apple TV. Quality is first rate. The live photos will "pulse" rather than smoothly loop but that is a minor quibble. Would love a native Apple TV app and now, a native Apple Vision Pro app. Setting a playlist from my music library while the slideshow is running would be pretty cool too. Highly recommended.

Have to select individual photos, not whole album
I was disappointed because this is the closest thing I’ve found to do what I want- shuffle play photos and videos in a single Photos album. My simple digital frame can do it, but my Mac can’t. Thought this would work on my phone and I could Airplay to my Apple TV.
The problem is that I don’t see any way to tell it to use the entire album (over 4,000 items), and I’m not about to sit here and tap on every item to include it in the slideshow.
Please add a feature to just select a whole album, not just individual photos.

Mostly Great
I’ve been using for about 3 years, with a repurposed iPad mini. I have it on the wall, in the hallway entering into the kitchen. I love this app which serves such a great purpose. However, from time to time, the photo freezes on the screen or the photos start showing as blurry or the photos “grow” and no longer fit the screen . I can usually fix, for a while at least, by removing the iPad from the wall charger thingy and letting the battery run down a bit. This seems to be happening more and more lately.

Best photo frame app on the market!
I got this as a way to recycle an old family iPad as a gift for Mother’s Day. We have a shared family album that I struggled to find a way to display until coming across this app! Setup was easy and effortless and the options for time, weather, and other extras were a huge bonus. I also really appreciate that the author is active in updating the app and is very responsive to feedback!

A great gift for my parents
I purchased an iPad solely as a digital frame for my parents, thanks to the amazing app that I have discovered! This app is loaded with numerous features, but the one that stood out the most was its ability to synchronize with Google Photos. I created a shared folder with all my siblings, and we can all add pictures that automatically show up at my parents' house.
Although the app is great, I do have one suggestion. I wish it had an option to display multiple pictures on both sides of a portrait-oriented picture, similar to the Apple Photos app's slideshow mode.
