I want it to work, I swear!
Some information seems to work (speed, time, distance) sometimes it doesn’t (3 hour session I paddled 265,000m? I doubt it) and never once has it transferred to my phone. Even after the latest update that “fixed” that issue it still has yet to sync (and those sessions are lost, no tracking other than a short overview in activity). Upside it does time track waves so easy to check Surfline camera at that time then getting a rough guess. Doesn’t really track waves under 3’ though. I want to like this more, like a lot more. Group of coworkers have the app and want to get more metrics, specifically area surfed but at this point, open water swim may just be the answer. Would revise review if the app was fixed.

Sync to phone doesn’t work
I’ve tried to sync from 3 sessions now and reinstalled and powered off and on together watch and phone and contact support by email (from a D- website) and very little IT help “try restarting your phone and watch”.
I am truly amazed that Apple featured this app on their website of apps to use. It does not work. Simple. Fix it or take it down

Just use strava.
Either crashes or does not record. Strava, while not Surf specific records every time.
Fickle
Misses at least 50% of waves. Inaccurate distances and speed. Buggy. Please fix!
Not showing the sessions on the phone
Having the same issue as the other user reported. The sessions are not being transferred to the phone app, just showing in the watch, not being able to see the map.
It’s a really nice idea, just needs to work properly.

Many errors
I set it to metric and started surf session, watch face showed US feet. Then I turn crown to eject water and the app freezes. Had to hard shut down watch and restart to get watch to work again. They say just press start, what a joke!
Rubbish until fixed
Shows waves on the watch but refuses to synch with phone and after surf all your data is lost. Shouldn’t have been released until ready which this certainly isn’t.
Look elsewhere until it’s major flaws are fixed

So bummed
I was so excited when I saw this at WWDC and couldn’t wait to try it out. I have used it 4-5 times and it has yet to ever sync with my phone. Wave detection seems pretty good although didn’t always update on main screen. I have deleted and reinstalled so many times and still it doesn’t ever sync with my phone. I’ll try it one more time if they do end up pushing out another update.

Horrible
Not sure how you can charge money for this. Never registers my already paid-for subscription in the water. When it did, didn't capture a single wave in three sessions. Syncing with phone app is non-existant. Don't waste your money.
