Leave a Review Fender Play
Good Learning Platform
I have been enjoying Fender Play for some time now. I like the large number and variety of songs and riffs it offers. There are a number of Live programs featuring players who discuss interesting topics related to playing guitar. I also appreciate the inclusion of Bass and Ukulele. I play ukulele, and while I don’t play bass these lessons help me better understand rhythm.
Some lessons feature a simplified version of songs. That’s helpful, but I wish the lesson would also include the original version. The teachers do a great job of counting notes to help in playing songs. I do wish there was an option to include notation as well as tablature. While I can easily find songs, I sometimes have difficulty navigating the menu.
Finally, Fender Play offers a great way to preview the vast lineup of instruments Fender has to offer. All in all, Fender Play is a very good learning platform.Show lessSurreal and Awesome!
Its a surreal experience! Feeling as if the instructor is truly sitting in the room with you.
I really appreciate the abillity to go back to the basics and remind myself the core rules/lessons. Being able to search for a specific song, chord, etc.. Is awesome! Knowing the lesson is being given by a well vetted individual, TRULY ROCKS! Making a very efficient use of my time. I have not used the sound downloads as I do not have an electric guitar. I highly look forward to the day I have a GT series amp. and an electric guitar! The Fender Tune App is by far the best Ive used, and is extrememly helpful! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time even with an entry level acoustic. Thank You FENDER!!!Show lessGreat learning experience
I never write reviews for apps but had to for this one. I grew up learning the piano through weekly lessons, and also taught piano. Having only had previous music learning experience through weekly in person lessons, I can attest to how much faster it’s possible to learn music generally through an app, but also how fender really did a great job at designing the learning experience on this app. The teachers are so clear and I like that there are different teachers so you get different styles of teaching, you can replay videos and go back to any previous (or more advanced) level or exercise, play an exercise in feedback mode multiple times to get multiple rounds of feedback til you get it right, play along with an instructor and also watch their fingers from different perspectives. All of this deepens and develops the learning process that lets you achieve so much more in 1 hour on the fender app than 1 hour of an in person class, especially for first time/beginner/intermediate players.
One comment would be that my app is a bit buggy in practice mode in selecting preferences to turn the metronome and accompanying instruments on and off.
Otherwise truly TYSM Fender!Show less
