  • App Shutting Down

    Every time I try to connect device to my WiFi it shuts the app down mid connection and does now work.
  • Doesn’t work with mobile data

    Only works when connected to wifi which defeats the purpose!! When using mobile data (3G/4G) it always says ‘Connection failed’, and yes I have the data tab on!
    Will work for a couple of days after resetting the camera, but then goes straight back to connection failed.
    Please fix!!!!

  • No push notifications..

    I don’t see the point in owning a device such as this without motion activated push notifications to my phone..
    however the stream quality and control are very useful. I was able to pan the camera from another state.
    But still.. motion activated push notifications for unexpected visitors would be an ideal feature for future updates.

    The motion alarm isn’t useful if you have pets.. it’ll just blare continuously.. And email notifications aren’t great either. I end up getting 100 emails a day of dust floating past the camera. Not useful. I stand by my original post and suggest the developer figure out how to implement push notifications.

    The app does not support push notification. However, the app is able to send email alerts if motion is detected. Also, there is an audible alarm that can be set off to alert/scare an intruder. The email alerts and the alarm must be enabled in the app settings.
  • No Push Notifications

    I bought a rotate and tilt camera and thought I’d be able to connect it to the SwannCloud App. Nope! Had to download the Always Safe App Instead! Unlike the SwannCloud App, Always Safe does not send push notifications to your mobile phone and instead it emails you. Now, I’m sure most of us bought our wireless cameras which are managed on our phones to be alerted immediately if the Motion Detector is activated!
    Come on Swann! Stop producing hundreds of apps and work on making all your products work on one WHICH SENDS PUSH NOTIFICATIONS...
    The Always Safe App is much more sleek and works much better than SwannCloud but I cannot rate it more than 1 star as it has failed to deliver on the second most important aspect of what people want this for. 1 to see a live stream of the camera. 2 to be informed of any movements.

  • Poor service will not work please don’t buy.

    I can’t see what going on in my house since the day I bought it very poorly service and I cannot returns it bad bad.
  • Easy to use app just one problem

    This app is easy enough to use. It does have one problem thats connecting to my wifi after i had to connect via cable the app keeps crashing whenever i click to connect to wifi and this is a problem as i dont have a close ethernet cable for where i want this to be placed

  • Not working

    We have 6 of these cameras in my family. Two days ago all of them on 3 different networks stopped allowing us to view them unless you happen to be on the WiFi network that they were set up on.. So if you are out and and about and want to see a live view or a recorded video when not at home you can't. These set ups are in NJ and CA. none of them work !!

    The tech support is in the Philippines and Swann in the USA or AU will not talk directly to the customer. The people in the PI are clueless and are not really employed by Swann. Its a Fing mess. Also the firmware needs to be updated and the camera will not allow an update. The app is clumsy and unstable.

    Not sure what a better solution is but the answer is NOT Swann. I bought these to try out the company quality and software before I did a large POE system. Glad I found out what Swann is all about first. before spending thousands.

  • Getting better

    Far better than the last Swann app. The biggest problem I have with this is that when playing recorded video, it will only start from beginning of the motion detected clip. So, if I have a 20 minute recording, I have to watch it from the beginning, I can not scroll to another part of the recording. I am rating this 3 stars because the last Swann app was so bad, this is a big step.
