  • Thank You!

I have tried so many journaling apps and none have stuck. Until now! I really look forward to each evening when I can get a quick (corny) joke and an interesting topic to write about! I love it. But one thing has made this absolutely life changing....

My 11 year old son has been struggling terribly with anxiety and panic attacks. On a whim, I told him he had to try a couple of nights of journaling with this app. Well, he LOVED the writing prompts and took to journaling like he’s done it for years! And he said that it immediately made him feel better to put his feelings in writing.

Thanks, Lifecraft! You helped to transform the life of an amazing little boy (and his mom!).

  • Was amazing, now ruined...

I initially gave this app a five star rating but now I have to drop it two since the recent updates. It was an amazing app for adding emotions to your journaling, but now with the added features that do not work after three updates, it is cluttered and has too much going on and half the time syncing doesn’t work now (or it takes forever). This is no longer an simple, effective way to journal my moods. It’s more frustrating that it needs to be. I will be switching back to Day One and a separate mood tracking app.

  • Good app, but...

The Compass and Challenges features are still not working for me. I have no idea what Compass is supposed to do since it is always completely blank, and the Challenges feature has showed no progress even though I’ve been doing it for two weeks.

I love the writing prompts and the emotions check ins, but I will probably cancel my subscription to Pro after this month unless the other issues are resolved.

  • Needs updated

I loved this app until the compass and challenge features were added. Neither of them work and I have the latest version of the app. I have contacted support and they just say to make sure you have the latest version. The last update did not fix the problem. I use this app every day and it’s frustrating when parts of it don’t work. I have been doing the challenges for almost 2 weeks now and it still shows no progress. My compass messages do not show up when I open the app but I get 3 separate notifications to read my ‘invisible’ message. I wish they would fix these features or get rid of them. Outside of the parts that don’t work, this is a great app and it’s really useful.

  • Good concept, needs improvement

I really like the concept of having a journal and mood tracker in one. I do both avidly and have been using two separate apps for some time. I also like that there are journal prompts and timers.

This app has potential. However, for this to be a paid app (you must get a subscription if you want the top tier features) it leaves much to be desired. First, it’s a bit glitchy and does not operate as seamlessly as I would like. The “Compass” section has not worked for me at all since installing the app despite me getting notifications to check the app. I like the idea of having challenges, but there are only two available. One for physical activity which I’m not interested in and another one for journaling which doesn’t seem to be of benefit to someone who already avidly journals.

I am hopeful that this app will continue to improve with time. Oh, I would also like the different journals or notebooks to be color coded.

  • Lifecraft

The latest improvements in V 2.o2 are continuing to add substance to this app. Continuing with the objectives of the programmers to provide a wide canvass of journals and entries to record both emotional and physical effects of the day week and month. Keep going ..........

I have been journaling for 25+ years. Both for fun and for working with my moods. I’ve used 5 or 6 journaling and word processing applications. Including others that Chronos has developed. This Lifecrate and it’s companion note taking application are as good or better than anything out at this time. Lifecraft is the best journaling app hands down that I’ve ever used.

I’ve always used self improvement methods and the resulting tools. This is not only fun, it is a serious mood improvement tool.

  • Awesome Journaling App!

This is by far one of the best journal apps I have discovered in the App Store and believe me I have tried many of them! I love how straight forward it is, so easy to follow especially if you are not as tech savvy as most young people today. All instructions are written in simple language, no long ridiculous sentences that I cannot understand! Little added extras like font, colours, text size etc are plentiful with the choices it offers you. If you become a Pro Lifecraft Member it gives you unlimited journals and unlimited addition of your photos, weather predictions, as well as a few other extra things, and all for a very reasonable price with the option to pay monthly or yearly! If you are looking for a journaling app that’s easy to use but still plentiful of added extras and one that doesn’t rip you off like the majority of apps (charging ridiculous amounts to be able to type words onto a boring white background), then this is the app for you!!! You won’t be disappointed and if you are then there’s something wrong with you 🤪

  • Perfect journaling app

This app has so many wonderful features that make it easy to capture the events of the day and my feelings about it. One of my favorite features is being able to add photos. When I take pictures of my son, I love to be able to remember the events and feelings around it. So perfect!
  • Perfect little “journal”

Always available when I have thoughts I want to put down. Best way to vent. Love keeping memories this way. Also Helps with depression and anger.
  • Love it so far ...

I read an article about journals and this program was very highly rated. I installed it on my desktop and imported my Day One journal, which I have used for years. Everything went smoothly and I like the program. I liked it enough to install it on my laptop and iPad Pro. WOW! It promptly downloaded my journal to these devices and I was off and running. Never had a program that ran so well from the get-go. I highly recommend this to avid journalists.
