  • A hidden gem!

It’s like Evernote for your thoughts. Love the UI, the ease of use and synching across devices.
  • Love it

I like this app more then the others in the App Store. I really don’t have anything negative to say about this app. The fonts option in a journal is very important to me and the layout of the entry as well. And you have basically hit those two features dead on. The font option is more then I expected. Because there are so many to choose from. So keep doing what your doing. And I’ll continue to be a premium user!

  • Perfect for my needs

I have been using this app for a little over a year and I like it. It is great for journaling and I love that you can place moods for each journal. It is also cool that it notates the date, time, location, and weather. Great for looking back on.
  • I like it!

I do like this apt. However the advertising is a little deceitful you can not change fonts while typing which the little movie about the apt clearly showed you could. You can set up a personal font size and color for the over all apt and maybe for the other journals you have. However this is one of the features that drew me to this particular apt. I had to take a star away for that. The next issue I have was not clear in the advertisement so I won’t take a star but I will mention it. It lead me to believe that once I updated I would be able to have more than one emotion per entry. That is not the case. I certainly have many feelings going threw me at once about many subjects at various points of the day. I rarely have just one feeling at a time. I don’t know about other people but I want that function. If these things are fixed then I would be very happy to give a full 5 stars.
I look forward to what other new items you come up with. Stickers are an idea especially for food. With lots of American foods. I don’t eat Sushi ever but I love egg salad regular salad even the habbatchi grill. Wonton soup, ice cream and much much more. Just a thought.
This is such a great app and so much can be added to it. I certainly hope you all keep working with it and upgrading it and more.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your thoughtful review! I just wanted to clarify how you can change fonts while typing. When you’re editing a journal entry, you’ll see a plus button above the onscreen keyboard. Tap that button to see the text style toolbar. You can change the font, size, color, style (bold, italic, etc.). You can also add bulleted/numbered lists and checkboxes. Regarding emotions, Lifecraft now has an Emotion log where you can record multiple emotions throughout the day along with notes so you can remember why you’re feeling that way. At the end of the day, you can copy your emotion log to your journal entry. Thanks for the feedback!
  • Lifecraft: A simple but powerful journaling tool

This is my top journaling app now. I tried Day One, but the desktop version kept crashing and it was at times confusing and overly colorful. Lifecraft is my alternative to Day One and my new go to app for journaling. I especially appreciate the ability to add emotional states. So far so good!
  • Great but questionable future

I like the layout of this app better than Day One. I also like that it uses iCloud for sync. Everything works very well, but I wonder about the future development of the app. The export ability is not great, so I worry that I’ll be stuck in it if the developer abandons it. I’m a Pro subscriber, so I’m going to give it until the release of iOS 12 to decide whether this app is going to have updates going forward.

  • Love the simplicity and insights you can gain about yourself

I really want to use this app instead of Day One but there's currently no implementation of Life craft with the Workflow app like Day One does. As soon as that changes, I'm using this app instead.
  • Perfect for my novel de-compression

I use my LifeCraft alongside my novel writing software; journaling helps me de-compress when writing about intensive subjects in my family history. The emotions give me good oversight in making sure this is a sustainable pace of writing or if I need to start incorporating more self-care. As I explore more topics I can tag entries to pull up information about emotional nuances exactly when I need it later. I’m looking forward to seeing how much I branch out to other uses in the future!

  • Love this app!

As someone who keeps getting gently nudged to journal but who struggles with doing so, this app is perfect for me! I can pull my phone out quick and jot thoughts down as they come out and I feel the need to big hold them in.
  • Very handy

Tracking my mood is really important to me and my mental health and this app makes that very simple
