The best comic reader on the planet!

I’ve tried many comic readers. This is the only one that support right-to-left page order. Furthermore, it zooms the page of epub just right and the auto one page/two page mode implementation is the best. The pro version is well worth it.

Beautiful comic reader but needs iCloud sync

Update: now I can use iCloud storage and view my comics without needing to download them this is now a 5 star app 👌

Best comic reader app by far. Makes me smile every time I use it.

This is by far the best looking comic reader on the App Store. How it displays your comics is awesome and the reading experience is top notch. Unfortunately its missing a vital feature pretty much every comic app has, iCloud sync. With the free app I’ve chosen to use all I have to do is place the comics in an iCloud folder and it magically appears in the app. Panels has a really clunky way of managing importing of comics. I want to use Panels and pay them all my money but until the include this simple feature I’ll be reading my comics elsewhere

Panels does offer support for iCloud sync, although it is a Premium feature. To enable it, go into library -> content -> add another library. Navigate to your root folder located in iCloud drive and add it. From that point, all content in that folder will be automatically synced. I hope that helps

Beautiful but

Missing the key feature to stream from network drive. Massive deal breaker and sad because it's the most native feeling app.

Also fill screen doesn't work in landscape on my ipad pro 13 inch

Unfortunately, streaming from a network drive is technically impossible. You need a server decompressing the files and streaming pages individually. We do support streaming over OPDS, though.

Great App With One Fatal Flaw

This app is great for organizing Manga, but the big fatal flaw is the “handy” feature they add where you can swipe at the end of a book to continue to the next book. Every time I do this, it “breaks” the next book. If reading with your iPad horizontally, it will constantly reset to the first page making it unreadable. It somewhat works in vertical orientation, but if you close it or lock the iPad, it resets to the first page and does not remember where you left off. These issues do not occur if you close the book and switch to the next without swiping to the next. Once you swipe to the next, it stays broken as far as I can tell.

I have also tried removing the book from the library and re-adding it, but it remains “broken”.

Thanks!! In the reader’s menu, you can change the preset and select Page Curl to get that effect.

Poor syncing

It was difficult to sync with iCloud. There was no help as to how to do it. I then managed to set it up and did a test with one manga which had 18 chapters...each chapter (pdf) was about 31mb max. It took over half an hour to sync!!! That is useless. I have about 6000 chapters of manga, many over 31mb!! It takes only a few seconds to upload each chapter to iCloud but it takes panels about 2-3 minutes to download each 31mb chapter!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID. I can't get a refund I bet.

This app is probably the best app for comics, manhwa and manga

I rarely leave reviews but this app is fantastic. It’s well designed, works flawlessly, every time I think I need something i need the feature already there.

Excellent!

Simple, fluid interface that integrates your comic library seamlessly. Would definitely recommend this app to my fellow comics readers. Edit: just wish there was a feature in Vertical Scroll mode where the pages fill the screen and stay locked (if that makes sense) Update: all of the simplest features that used to be free are now behind a paywall 😒 they basically fixed what wasn’t broken and overcomplicated the simplest and best comic reading app. Will be uninstalling 👎
