DO NOT USE

DO NOT BOOK FOR CATS. A groomer ripped out one of our cats claws. He lied about the severity of her injury and did not inform us of the truth of the situation. We thought he maybe cut the quick on her claw, but after it didn’t heal for 2 weeks we brought her to the vet who revealed that her claw was entirely ripped out. Our poor girl has been suffering from essentially a backyard de-clawing and we have no way of holding him or Groomit accountable. On top of that, we provide written instructions on how to groom her and he didn’t follow those. Our cat has never received bad behavior reviews, she is incredibly sweet and we have never had an issue with her getting groomed. This was pure negligence, if not abuse. I have never experienced something like this from a groomer. We’ve used Groomit before and had 50/50 luck with their groomers following instructions, but now it’s obvious they do not care who they hire and provide no training to these people. It’s clear they don’t care about cats or safety or anything, do not make the same mistake I did.

STAY AWAY

My experience with this company was honestly absurd. People surprise me everyday with the ridiculous behaviors the exhibit.

My groomer Angelena in Phoenix AZ showed up to groom my dog in my bathroom (I booked a van) to start. I work from home so the whole point of booking a van was to to have this going on while I’m working🤣 Anyways, she had a small handful of accessories. Obviously not everything she needed because she had to use my hair dryer.

I let her do her thing and after she was done she put my dog in her cage, knocked on my office door, said bye, and left.

Time to describe the state my dog was in. My dog had several small cuts, fully shaved rear legs, an untouched front half of her body with matting still intact, and a halfway shaved head? The instructions were slightly shorter all around same length. Oh ya she left a mess in my bathroom too. So basically I payed $208 for some stranger to hangout in my bathroom for two hours, make a mess, injure my dog, and destroy my dogs coat. She didn’t say ANYTHING the whole time or even ask what we thought. Probably because she knew what she did was wrong.

In conclusion, STAY AWAY. The BBB needs to investigate this company and at the very least the groomer who came to my house needs to be fired.

Waste of time and not truthful

I went through the entire process to sign up which is a bit lengthy but reasonable to get a txt saying a groomer had be found which was a lie because then I got a txt saying they could not find a groomer at my time and offered me a slot 4 days from now. This after collecting 130 plus bucks from me and me waiting thinking I had a groomer. They should tell you before they make you fill out the forms and collect payment.

They just randomly charge

Please be aware that this app have no customer service at all. They cannot be responsible for their service. And of course, they play an role as an agent between you and the groomer. However, even if the service is bad or there is service due to the groomer’s fault, they can charge you as they have your card and the customer service only have the right to reimburse 30 dollar. Anything beyond that would trigger a repeated words.

Trash

Horribly expensive service. Find an actual company in your area. My groomer was 30 mins late and then when I was late answering her after she finally arrived she warned me about what would happen next time if I was late again (the nerve…). Also, I’m sure she overcharged me for services after telling me things like teeth brushing was not included. Over 500 for two dogs. I never booked this raggedy service again.

Terrible Drivers!

Downloaded the app just to leave this review. A driver almost ran me off the road because a) he was going 50mph in a 40mph zone, b) he’s busy weaving in and out of traffic and didn’t check to see if anyone was next to him (me unfortunately). Luckily as he went to swerve around another vehicle he saw me just in time and avoided what could have been a minimum 3 car pile up. Based off reckless driving alone I wouldn’t recommend this company.

DO NOT USE!

Do not recommend! They do not communicate about the extra fees they charge. The groomer charged a $30 handling fee for my friendly golden retriever. I was told by all past groomers he is the best and easiest dog to groom. After I brought my dog into the house, i noticed a mistake on his leg. I understand mistakes happen, but nothing was communicated to me about this or what went wrong in the van. They tried to correct the issue by adding a credit to my account. Please refund me the $30 fee. Also please note they charge a fee for using credit card as a payment too.

Bad

Input all of my information and set up an entire account, and then when finally booking an appointment, was told there are no groomers in my area. I even double checked online before downloading the app, and it never gave such an error when putting in my address! Very disappointed, and from the looks of the other reviews, maybe it’s a blessing in disguise.

Confirm/Cancel Garbage

Used in the past, and groomers seem to be nice and friendly and do a good job.

However, the company is awful.

Make an appointment. They confirm appointment. Then, they almost immediately cancel appointment and try to move it for you. It’s like they assume everyone is always free for them to screw over.

They give you no easy way to talk with them and just want you to move your schedule around to meet the appointment they assign to you (which they would likely cancel and move again anyway).

Garbage companies are the ones that have horrible service. As I said before, the groomers are fine, but the corporate jerks who likely take the lion’s share of the money do not care about anything.

Sorry to say

I have been using this app for about two years and found a wonderful groomer who was great with my dog. Suddenly, things have changed. Appointments were being rescheduled the same day. Today was the last straw. The morning of my appointment, my appointment was canceled out from under me. No explanation. I made a special trip into New York City just to do this. On the other hand, if you cancel with less than 24 hours you get charged. No more. Use at your own risk.
