All Pet Owners Should Have Healthy Paws
I don’t know what I would do without my Healthy Paws insurance. I do know that I will never have a pet without it!
I have an 11 year and 8 year pair of sweet pups that I have been fortunate enough not to have to face too many medical emergencies with until this year when my 11 year old fell down some stairs and damaged both his knees resulting in two knee surgeries six months apart with a heart murmur thrown in for good measure.
Thankfully I didn't have to hesitate at the cost of care because I had my Healthy Paws policy in place. The only factors I had to consider were what the right course of action was for my pup, and what made him most comfortable and happy in this chapter of his life.
Healthy Paws also gives you peace of mind in making the claims submission process so easy, as soon as my vet emails the invoice, I just save it to my files and in a few clicks on my phone I have created a new claim, attached the invoice and off it goes. It rarely has taken more than two days for a claim to be processed and the cash is in my account two more days after that. No haggling, chasing down the money, no added stress. I literally tell every pet owner I know about Healthy Paws.

I cannot say enough good things about Healthy Paws. Any time I’ve taken my pup to the vet and need to submit a claim the process is SO easy!
Most recently my pup had to have abdominal surgery and that was a scary thing to go through. Knowing that I didn’t have to worry too much about the cost was a blessing and gave me peace of mind to make decisions without having to necessarily taking into consideration the cost. After the surgery, I received an email asking how Elvis was doing and to keep them in the loop on his recovery which i felt was very thoughtful.
One recommendation to streamline the process for anything major (and minor) is to ask the clinic for the medical records so you can attach them to the claim right away. If you don’t chances are you will be asked to provide them. This way you’ll cut a few days off the time line of getting reimbursed.

Healthy Paws defrauds subscribers. They say they cover things but deny claims outright and make up reasons to increase your premium as soon as you file a claim despite having the same records since enrollment. I have had 2 pets insured for over 2 years. When I signed up I submitted all necessary vet records and never had any claims. Now that my pet is sick they have not only denied the claims they should be paying out but have found reasons to increase the premiums by over 50% on both pets. The reason they said for denying the claims is that I didn't submit vet records from years and years prior to when the policy began...when I didn't even have the cat. They increased the premiums citing a dog breed discriepancy (dog is adopted so who knows what breed it is) and pet age doscrepancy (again, cat is adopted so who knows what the cat's age is). I was talking to my sister about this fraudulent company and she said the same exact thing happened to her: they subscribed for a long time and then as soon as they needed it, healthy paws said they didn't have the records required to approve the claim. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and encourage everyone they have defrauded to do the same exact thing. Horrible horrible horrible!
